Y’all asked! We’ve answered! Introducing Soak Creek Farm’s very own weekly meet designed for children who homeschool.

An engaging farm-based club promoting a social time for children who homeschool. Not only will each meet encourage friendships and social time amongst peers, we will provide the same “Farm Club” enrichment as we offer in our kids camps!

- Agriculture lessons
- Season specific planting
- Art & Crafts
- Horsemanship & Riding basics
- Animal meet & greets
- Morning snack provided!

We hope you decide to join us! We look forward to meeting all of our homeschooled friends 😊

Campers for this week’s summer camp (8/5 -8/9) Majority vote has been to cancel camp for today with a provided makeup day being a Saturday 8/10. I’ve messaged all parents as of 615am.

There will be no camp today, Thursday 8/8.

We apologize in advance. We don’t really know what the rain will do. Operating out of caution and not trying to put additional people on the road - we will offer Saturday as a makeup day for all campers. We appreciate you guys!

We would love to talk to anyone in King who is interested in after-school camp for this upcoming 24-25 school year.

The farm is zoned for Poplar Springs Elementary but will happily take campers from King and Mount Olive, as well.

The farm is offering an after-school adventure camp daily from 330-6pm. We are offering a weekly rate of $125 per child.

Camp will provide:
-Structured “quiet time” for homework completion. (First 30 mins of camp)
-Daily Snack and Drink
-Group Activities
-Weekly Riding Lessons
-Nature Adventures
-Arts & Crafts

Morning ride with the best campers! We maximized the sun earlier today and had fun with Moonshine, the pony. Kids did great. We fed the barn, cleaned stalls, cleaned automatic waterers, went on a hike through the trails and will be back at it tomorrow!🙌🏼🐴☀️

We have selected the date for Soak Creek Adult Day Camp: Saturday OCTOBER 26th.

Activities provided by each ticket purchase:
-Obstacle Course Riding Group Session/Lesson
-Yoga (with Equine onlookers, naturally)
-Sip & Paint Session (canvas, apple cider & art instruction provided)
-Catered Lunch
-Pumpkin Carving
-Fire Pit & Marshmallow Roasting & Coffee

This has come up consistently over the last couple of years but more and more most recently..

Soak Creek is going to host it’s first ever Adult Day Camp 🙌🏼

Dates we are considering:
🍂Saturday October 19th from 11-4
🍁 Saturday October 26th from 11-4

Activities we’d love to host:

Our first August week-long summer camp starts Monday! Parents/Guardians - I’ll have paperwork on site Monday morning for anyone who is new to us. For all returning campers - you’re good! Just a few reminders:

😎Jeans & Boots (if no boots, any closed-toe shoe will work - no crocs, no sandals).
☀️Wear your sunscreen! It’s hot and we will be outside for the majority of camp!
🤠Water - bring a water bottle! We will have a ton of extras on site too.
🐴No “Sunday Best” - we WILL get dirty. There is dirt, mud, hay, feed, HORSES 😂 and art projects .. I will happily be the example of dressing for the occasion 😂😂

🐴Homeschool Riding Lesson Hours for the 2024-2025 “traditional” school calendar🐴

Soak Creek Farm Pastures & Stables will open its weekly schedule for (12) limited lesson spots specific to homeschool children, Tuesday - Friday at either 8am, 9am, or 10am.

One Lesson Weekly: $200 each month (4 lessons per month).
Two Lessons Weekly: $375 each month (8 lessons per month).

Tuition is due by the first of each month - if not paid in full, your lesson day/time is up for grabs. I am confident there will be a wait list for some of the days/times.

Students should choose a day and time that they wish to come for their lesson(s). This will be your routine/assigned lesson time each week.

Monthly invoices will be emailed. If you wish to select a day/time for September - you will get first dibs on that same day/time for October, then November and so forth.

This schedule is open to current students, new students and those with little to no experience (all riding levels welcome). We will provide the horse, helmet & tack, for each rider. (Personal gear is welcomed but not required).

*We will also begin to offer mounted archery lessons - if you have interest in this discipline please reach out to Katie, directly*

Lesson availability will be reduced and we will no longer schedule “drop-in” lessons unless requested by current students who are okay picking up an available time slot or pre-arranging a pre-approved time with either Steven or Tig.

Each month will now accommodate a maximum of 35 students (less if students wish to select more than one lesson spot each week - we do currently have some twice-a-weekers, so I anticipate less availability.

One Lesson Weekly: $200 each month
Two Lessons Weekly: $375 each month
Tuition is due by the first of each month - if not paid in full, your lesson day/time is up for grabs. I am confident there will be a wait list for some of the days/times.

The farm needs a new lawn guy! We’ve got a bunch of common ground and private yard to be mowed/trimmed on a bi-weekly basis. If you and your mower would like to provide us with with a quote, please let us know! We’d love a mow this week! The earlier the better.
