📣 ANNOUNCEMENT:

With the end of 2024 fast approaching, we have decided to hold a Rabies Clinic! 💉🐾

Join us on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 8 AM to 12 PM and 1:30 PM to 4 PM to get your pet(s) up-to-date with their Rabies Vaccinations.

You will leave with a Rabies Certificate that can be used to license dogs with your local municipality.

No appointment required •

Dogs: $20 — proof of previous rabies vaccination required to obtain 3-year formulation

Cats: $20 (3-year formulation), or $28 non-adjuvanted formulation (1-year, but strongly recommended due to increased safety)

Keeping your pets current with their Rabies Vaccinations is not only paramount to preventing infection and saving lives – it’s the law. The State of Maine requires that all dogs & cats obtain rabies vaccinations starting from the age of three (3) months, with boosters at regular intervals in accordance with State Veterinarian recommendations.

Maine State law also dictates that dogs aged 6 months or older are to be licensed in the municipality where they reside. Dogs obtained by new owners must be licensed within 10 days of transfer of ownership. Licenses are renewed annually, with the deadline of January 1st of each year. Late fees start on February 1st. Proof of current Rabies Vaccination is required for licensing.

Hey friends!

Carrabassett Veterinary Services is offering a nail trim clinic for your pet on Thursday 7/18 from 10am to 12 noon. This will take place in the parking lot. No need to register.

This cost will be $10/each pet and payable in cash. We will not be accepting credit card transactions for this event.

***UPDATE Tuesday December 19th: Route 27 is washed out on both the north and south sides of us, so we continue to be closed. Thank you for your patience. ***

Today is Monday, December 18th and we have had to close the practice due to flooding of local roads. Here is a video of the Ira Mountain Bridge, courtesy of Dr. Benson’s 10-year-old grandson. Safe travels to our staff who are headed home, and to everyone!
