The hatch has started. Saw 3 broods of grouse this week. We didn’t go looking too much but the brood sizes were 3, 4, 6. There could have been more sitting tight. Weather is looking good for the next week so hopefully that will help.

New Rig! Thanks to all our customers who support us. We can not keep going without your support. Now we can haul more dogs and fit our hunting clients comfortably in the back seat.

Today at mid coast Maine trial. William got third in the gun dog stake with our one of our guide dogs Gump. And I handled Jake Kirk Small dog to a second place. Jake had 3 nice finds with advanced manners on his birds and a strong race at only a year and a half old.

Congratulations to Kirk Small and all the other owners and handlers who placed. Thank you Judges, Chairman and Land owners for putting on the trial!

Quincy is back in the lineup after recovering from a foot injury. He pointed 2 grouse and ran good. Put some quail out for him afterwards and he did well.

Little Snowy today. For folks with dogs in the Wild Bird program we will extend your training if we cannot access covers due to snow. Weather forecast looks like it will melt fast but you never know. We will still be able to train at the kennels.
