The Altered Dog has a box up front to collect (not hot or cold) food donations. This will affect a large portion of our county, just in time for Thanksgiving. If you can share, please do.

Updates for 2026:

Discount Nail Days will be moved back to once a month, on a Sunday, 2-4pm. It is a walkin service for $5 (or $15 on our regular days). Keep in mind that our new setup is much more efficient, which solves the reason we originally split up the days at our old location. The discounted dates will be:

Cat day is the day following nail day (pictured is our lovely Maine Coone client, Angus).

2025 Nail Days will continue as scheduled, our next dates are November 9-10, and December 7-8.

The Altered Dog is now opened Tuesdays as well!

For grooming, the no show fee is 50% groom price without 24 hours notice (system reminder at 48 hours). Exceptions are allowed with communication, but if you just don't show up, the fee will be applied to your next groom.

Unless discussed beforehand, dogs must be picked up within one hour of completion. With communication, we can make exceptions. Without communication, failure to comply will result in boarding fees. We are not set up for boarding, if you need daycare, we have recommendations.

Beginning Tuesday, August 5th, The Altered Dog will be open one extra day a week! We will then be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for grooming appointments. Still closed for Sundays and Mondays, aside from our scheduled Discount Nail Days.

If you would like to switch your appointments to Tuesdays, just get in touch with us and we can do that.
