We could all use a bit of sunshine this weekend. ☀️

A male collared lizard, or mountain boomer, enjoys the sun and shows off its vibrant colors at Wichita Mountain National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. Their brilliant greens, blues and yellows add a splash of color to the prairie landscape.

They are bold lizards, which gives people great opportunities to observe them, but they will take off running on their hind legs when spooked and can reach speeds of up to 16 mph.
