Coming soon, feeder insects! It took me a few months to make a pattern,build and paint this roach coach display case. Now that it’s done, I can not wait to serve up feeders for our next reptile kids. Stay tuned for bugs!

Coming soon, Dubia roaches and super worms.
I am so excited to have finished the build on the Roach coach. After having rescued squiggles the bearded dragon, and trying to keep her fed during the snowy winter months; I found out how hard it was to get quality feeder insects locally. This lead to the decision to carry a few choice feeders at the shop. From this decision, the roach coach idea was born. It took a few months to make a pattern, build and decorate but now that it’s done, I am obsessed!

Construction season this year is exceptionally bad. I have had a few requests for small animal food. So far, just Guinea Pig and Rabbit. I will keep a small smorgasbord of things for your convenience and am willing to order in other stuff too. I can get Bird, hamster, fish and created gecko food. Let me know what your needs are. So, the nice guys down at Exotics and Aquatics found a Chinese banded shark, algae eater. They felt would be a good tank mate for Tessie. So far so good. I am still not convinced that he won’t become a midnight snack... I am going to call him, Yummy.

Happy 10th birthday to our self absorbed, egomaniac, Georgie Porgy. This is how we started the morning. Somehow he always knows when it his birthday and is very vocal about when he thinks the party should start.

After finishing putting away a big order. I took a few minutes to play in the rain with the children of a friend from college. Your right, it wasn’t professional. But, it was super fun. If you feel like running through mud puddles and making a fool of yourself, come see me. We can always hide the lunacy behind the need for pet supplies. 🤪

12:30-ish AM November 10th. Power is back on. All the fish made it through the power outage. Everything has been switched over from the generator to wall sockets. Good Night/Morning. See all of you soon. The powers out. Has been since 3:45 pm. I borrowed a big generator from a friend. It’s awesome! I think all the fish will survive and I am running the space heater. I may have a late start tomorrow as I will have to clean all of the extension cords up. Thank you Jessica P for loaning me Nick to help me pick up the generator and set it up. Your both amazing! And Thank you to Carol P for loaning us your truck.

Hi guys, It’s Toys for Tot’s time again. Meera and I went shopping last night and bought as much as we could. Believe it or not all these toys are not going to be enough. Truckee ran out of toys last year. I know it’s been a tough year with all the natural disasters happening and we are all feeling like we can’t possibly donate anything else. But if you find it with in your means, our local kids could use some joy this Christmas. I had trouble finding stuff for teenage, 15+ boys. But, anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.❤️🙏🏼❤️ Toys for Tot’s boxes are located all over King’s Beach look for the banners. I also have a box in the store. A special thank you to North Tahoe ***Checker cab 🚕 company for loaning us the vehicles to bring the toys home!***

Last weekend we all loaded up to take Link down to the first flyball tournament he was to be put in a team for competition. So link and I lined up. I said, "ready, ready, set, box! And Link said, "Ready, Set, silly time!" So we got bumped back in warm up rotation. Oh well, we're going to keep it fun. The rest will come.
