Hey guys! As you may have seen, we’ve hired a groomer!!! With that being said, we are starting to take appointments for “Grooming by Katie”. She has been grooming since 2012 and has worked at several different grooming salons!! We are so proud and thankful to have her!!

Everyone meet one of our newer employees, Katie. Katie is an experienced groomer since 2010. She has a heart for all animals and loves to spend her off time hiking and exploring in the woods! Katie also joined the military in 2010 and served for 6 years in the Army. We are so thankful for everything she does at Puppy Luv and we love her heart for all of our babies! 🐶❤️

“Repeat after me. Muzzled dogs are NOT BAD DOGS.

Muzzled dogs have good humans.

Muzzled dogs can have more experiences because they are managed. Their quality of life is INCREASED because of the muzzle.

Muzzled dogs can still have treats.

Muzzled dogs are not miserable.

Muzzled dogs are muzzled for ALL KINDS OF REASONS. Not just aggression. Maybe they eat too much stuff off the ground and get sick. Maybe they play too rough. Maybe they over react when startled. Maybe they want to eat squirrels. Maybe they need to learn better social skills. Not all dogs in a muzzle have a bite history, some have them on to prevent that in the first place. Sometimes the muzzle is more for the HUMAN than the DOG because it allows them to feel more confident. Big dogs, small dogs, and all breeds and sizes need muzzles sometimes. It is not a breed specific tool.

Muzzled dogs are GOOD DOGS WITH GREAT HUMANS who are setting their dog up to not fail. Judging a dog in a muzzle and their owner is the same as judging someone for wearing a helmet. They are choosing safety and being proactive and it takes WORK to get your dog to a level that they are happily working and walking around in a muzzle so kudos to the humans and dogs I work with who put that time in to better their dogs lives.

If you see a dog in a muzzle, don’t stare, don’t ask rude questions, just say “nice job, great looking dog!” And carry on. Believe me, you will have just made that humans day.”

Everyone meet our boss lady, Brinleigh. She is a 2 year old sassy toddler who loves all animals! We are still perfecting her cleaning skills, but she really loves the dogs and is getting an early start 😉

🌟 2 wonderful dogs went home today!!! 🎉🎉
While I don’t always get to see the adopters, I got the chance to see two in one day!!! Happy life to Rudy and Rufus! A huge shout out to all of the awesome rescues I get to work with for all that you do!! ❤️

To start this new year off, I would like to do a “give a dog a bone” challenge. Listed below are all of the names and sizes of the dogs that I currently have in boarding as well as the Amazon wish list for them. As many of you know, I’m not a non-profit so I’m not asking for donations but I am asking that you sponsor a dog to provide a Nylabone or a Kong for. This just simply helps the rescues by not having to provide them and to keep the cost of boarding down. The reason why I am asking for a Nylabone or Kong is so that squeakers and stuffing doesn’t end up in our drain system or worse… in their bellies! Nylabones and Kongs are made for power chewers which is what the majority of my guys are! This will give them something to do while waiting for their forever homes. While I already have some that I have purchased, they run around $10-$25 a piece (depending on which one you would like to buy) and that can get expensive on top of food and other supplies needed to keep them happy and the facility clean. If you would like to sponsor a toy for one of these guys, just simply click on the link and purchase one and have it shipped to the kennel and comment or message me for who you would like it to go to! In favor of that, I will try and get a picture of the dog and their new toy and send it to you as a way of them saying thank you! Please share and help spread the word! 😊
