We’re thrilled to share that Luther has successfully undergone his FHO surgery and is on the road to recovery! 🐾 Thanks to the incredible generosity of 11 amazing and kind-hearted folks in our community, we've raised a total of $429 for his surgery fund. Every dollar counts, and we are so grateful for your support! ❤️

**🐾 Help Luther Get the Surgery He Needs! 1/31/2025🐾**
Meet Luther, our sweet new friend who has just joined our shelter. This young black Labrador hound mix has captured our hearts, but he’s facing a serious challenge. Luther has been diagnosed with a significant condition stemming from an old fracture. This old injury has left him with limited use of his back right leg, muscle atrophy, and ongoing pain. Despite his struggles, his spirit remains bright!
After a thorough examination at the Animal Medical Clinic, it has been determined that Luther requires a specialized surgery called a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO). This procedure is crucial for his recovery and will help him regain the mobility he deserves. The cost for Luther’s surgery is around $1,500.
Luther is incredibly sweet and loving, and he deserves the chance at a pain-free life and a forever home. We’re reaching out to our amazing community for support. Your contributions will not only help cover Luther’s medical expenses but will also allow us to continue our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need.

🌟 Meet Mae – Our Longest Resident! 🌟
Mae has been with us since June 29, 2024, and it's time for her to find the loving forever home she deserves! 🏡💖
Mae came to us as an owner surrender when the landlord decided she couldn’t stay because she was too big. Despite her past, Mae is a bundle of joy! She adores toys and treats, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoying daily play groups with her furry friends. 🐾
Mae walks decently on a leash, making her outings a pleasure. She is also a great road dog and rides extremely well in the vehicle.
What is the catch?
How come she hasn’t been adopted?
Well, Mae does have one little quirk – she can be a bit of an escape artist! With a watchful eye and some training, we believe she can thrive in a loving environment. While she may sometimes jump fences, her affectionate nature means she usually sticks close by and is just looking for a fun adventure! We also think she is just bored of being here.
