If you’re a snow bird and know approximately when you’ll be back I recommend pre-booking those now as my summer will fill fast! If you don’t, at least set a reminder in your phone about 10 wks before you think you’ll be here. Then text me and get on my schedule asap!

Starting in September I will be charging 4% for all credit/debit card transactions and no longer offering invoices being sent via text. Cash and Venmo are my preferred payment methods; Venmo does not charge me fees as of yet. Square has increased their prices so I will no longer be covering credit card usage fees.

The 7th and 8th slides will tell you how to view/change and even book more appointments. Dog training is SO important! These are one of the many reasons why dogs should be introduced to basic obedience training as early as 8 weeks of age, and training needs to continue throughout their life. Most dog owners have the best intentions but sometimes more is needed. It’s ok to seek professional help and even if your dog has started to develop bad behaviors, with early intervention they can be remedied. My dogs have all gone through professional training, they aren’t perfect but it has helped immensely. Dog bites that require medical attention, even some that don’t are reported (most of the time). Once your dog starts biting people there is little tolerance from the community and the end results are tragic. Please seek professional help especially if myself or other professionals in the dog world have recommended it to you.

Not every story has a happy ending...

We work with some dogs that others won't even give the time of day to. With that, comes the harsh reality that the end result sometimes doesn't matter. Dogs with a bite history have very few options in todays world. Whether its laws, policies, rules etc, if your dog puts teeth on skin there can be dire consequences for them, despite any remedial help.

For a number of reasons, we did not post about Zeus much at all, but you may recall he was a big, black and white Great Dane. He was rehomed with our client, who brought him to Fresh Coast for some last chance help. Zeus made incredible strides in the last 6 months, with our guidance and TONS of work from his owner. In the end, beuracracy and liability won over Zeus. All we can hope is that we gave Zeus the best we could and prolonged his last few months more than he would have otherwise gotten.

As the weather continues to heat up, remember: NEVER leave your pets in a parked car! Even with cracked windows, temperatures can soar to deadly levels within minutes. Your furry friends can suffer from heatstroke, brain damage, or worse.

👉 Facts to remember:

• On a 75°F day, a car's temperature can reach 100°F in just 10 minutes.
• On a 90°F day, it can hit 160°F in less than 10 minutes.

🐾 What to do:

• Leave pets at home if you can't take them with you.
• If you see a pet in distress in a hot car, call local authorities immediately.
• Spread the word to friends and family – let's keep our pets safe!
• Stay vigilant, stay cool, and keep your pets cool too!

As temperatures continue to rise, don't forget to take extra precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets.

Hot weather can pose big risks, especially due to the heat radiating from the ground, which can burn your pet's paws. To protect your pets, check the ground temperature before walks by placing the back of your hand on it for 5-10 seconds; if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

Walk pets early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler, and always ensure they have access to fresh, cool water. Provide shade if they spend time outdoors and limit exercise to avoid overexertion.

Look for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting or drooling, and never leave pets in cars, as temperatures inside can soar rapidly. Protective gear like pet booties and cooling vests can also help.

Our pets rely on us to keep them safe, and by taking these precautions, we can ensure they stay healthy and comfortable during the hot weather.🥰

Sophie’s first haircut at 8 months old. Sophie’s mom utilized my puppy package deal. It always makes full grooming transitions so much easier for dogs if they have been introduced to the basic process. This also guarantees your dog will not have to be shaved for his or her first haircut because the coat has been managed properly.
