It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the closing of my dog grooming business. It has been an incredible 6 years and I have met so many wonderful people, some of whom have become close friends. Working with dogs will always be my first love and I will definitely miss all of my furry clients. So, what’s to become of me?

I was presented with an amazing business opportunity in the insurance sales industry. Over Christmas I completed the required 40hrs of training along with a certification exam and then proceeded to pass the state insurance licensing exam. I am now an officially licensed insurance agent. I will be selling health and life insurance along with annuities. So if you need help navigating the market place or getting group insurance or have no idea where to start with Medicare, I’m your girl!

I am nervous but also excited for this new chapter in my life. I am hopeful to be able to keep some of you as clients but in a much different way. I know this is a lot to take in and I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have going forward.

My last day will be April 9th.

Ps: I am more than happy to text any of you my grooming notes so that you can pass them down to your lucky new groomer. Just ask me via text, please.

Just a reminder, I require a 24 hour notice for cancellations. My automated system makes it SUPER easy to cancel or reschedule within that time frame. If you cancel outside of this limit there is a $50 cancellation fee, regardless of the grooming package. If you have more than 1 dog scheduled you will pay 100% of the groom for the first dog (or $50 fee whichever is more) and the flat $50 fee for the second and so on. I am a very understanding person; life happens! However, this is how I pay my bills and help put food on my table.

The ONLY time my cancellation fee is waived is if local schools are closed due to weather. (Kingsley, TCAPS, GTA)

I will be holding strong to this rule this year.

It’s cold. Please don’t leave your dogs outside for long periods of time. Today is also not a good day for a long walk. Even if your dog was ‘built’ for cold temperatures you still risk frostbite on their paw pads. If your dog/dogs do live outside make sure they have a shelter filled with straw and a heated water pan. ❤️🫶🏼🐾 Stay warm Michiganders!

I have upgraded my table to ensure the upmost care a safety for all of my furry clients. This second arm and belly strap will reduce the risk of falls from my senior and fidgety clients. It will also aid in helping my seniors stand for portions of their grooms and take that physical burden of holding them up away from me. So if you walk into my salon and see your dog with both straps, just know it is completely humane and for their safety. ❤️

Just a reminder because some of you forgot. I have a doorbell system. So if you arrive and I am not in my salon please press the doorbell button that is by the door you came in above the light switch. If you don’t press that I don’t know you have arrived and I’ve had some of you out here waiting on me and I feel terrible about it!

Secondly, please do not stand outside and knock on the door until I give you permission to come in. Sometimes I am in my house and I cannot hear you. I know you’re trying to be polite and I appreciate it but I just don’t want you waiting on me especially if the weather is crummy. If it’s during regular business hours and my sign says open, just let yourself in and press the doorbell button.

PSA! My story didn’t fully upload properly but here’s the gist of it or go ahead and watch it on instagram.

Throughout the year I have been booking overflow clients on my days off (Thursdays and Fridays) I will no longer be doing that as my schedule has become less flexible with 3 kids in sports. I absolutely have no more availability left until February, so if you haven’t pre-booked you will be waiting until February to get an appointment. Thursdays and Fridays will ONLY be utilized for sick days if I can make it work. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, I really try to push pre-booking as best I can. I know this isn’t plausible for some of you and I do apologize.

Going forward PLEASE pre- book your appointments a year in advanced( I am more than happy to do it for you). Currently my December of 2025 is fully booked and November of 2025 is pretty close to being full as well. If you’re on my waitlist I will still offer you cancellations but I cannot guarantee you will get a second appointment within a timely manner. If you wish to become a regular client you MUST pre-book a year in advanced.
