Kingsport Veterinary Hospital was established in 1949 and has since been dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients and offer the best possible services to our clients. We concentrate on building a strong personal relationship with our clients and strive to meet every need and service requested whether that be performing surgery, boarding our client's pets, or simply answering questions and educating customers on issues regarding their pet's health.

At the beginning of January, KVH began a raffle for a free dog crate whenever you purchased a dental product. Today we drew our winner!!!! Congratulations Sandra!!!! 🎉

Practicing "Fear Free" with Jackson. Jackson came in to see Dr. Nash to get his bloodwork rechecked today. This video is showing how Natalie is drawing blood and Jackson is focused more on his cheese treat! We use different Fear Free tactics on patients that have a lot of anxiety coming to see the Veterinarian. This is a great example how less stressful the visit can go and wanted to share it with our followers.

This is Roscoe, owned by Lindsey Stapleton. He is 18! He had gotten to where he was sleeping most of the time and was having a harder time getting around. He lost his leg several years ago after being hit by a car and had developed arthritis in a lot of his joints. Dr Nash did a full exam and labwork to make sure Roscoe's organs were okay to start some non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs. This is a video that she sent a few days later after starting her medication! 😃👏🏼 one amazing dog!

Journey’s story Journey gets to go home see her family for the first time in over a week. Thank you to Serina the wonderful person that stopped traffic to rescue Journey and bring her into Kingsport Veterinary Hospital (seen in pictures)Jen our tech and Dr. Kiser Dr. Nash taking care of little Journey. She still has a long road to recovery.

This is Journey’s story. Journey was hit by a car and brought in by a good Samaritan that stopped traffic to get her out of the street and bring her to Kingsport Veterinary Hospital.

Ear Mite

The ear mite Otodectes cynotis is a surface mite that lives on cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. It is usually found in the ear canal but it can also live on the skin surface. Ear mites are highly contagious, and animals become infested by direct contact with another infested animal. The mite is barely visible to the naked eye and may be seen as a white speck moving against a dark background.
