🎆 Important Pet Safety Reminder! 🎆

Did you know the 4th of July is the #1 day of the year for lost pets? The loud noises from fireworks can easily frighten dogs and cats, causing them to run away in panic.

✅ Make sure your pet is safe this holiday:

Double-check that they’re in a secure, escape-proof area during fireworks.

Be sure your pet is wearing a collar with ID tags that include your current phone number and address.

Microchip your pets — and ensure your contact information is up to date!

🐾 If your pet suffers from anxiety during storms or fireworks, today is the LAST DAY to order and pick up any anxiety medications before the 4th of July holiday. Don’t wait — call us now or stop by the clinic to get what your pet needs to stay calm and safe.

🌞🐶 Keep Your Pets Safe & Hydrated This July! 🐱💧

As the July temperatures soar, it’s important to remember our furry friends feel the heat too! Here are some important tips to help keep your pets cool, comfortable, and hydrated during these hot summer days:

✅ Always provide fresh, clean water — inside and outside! Place multiple water bowls in shady, cool areas so they can hydrate throughout the day.

✅ Avoid walks and outdoor play during the hottest parts of the day (usually between 11 AM – 7 PM). Instead, take walks early in the morning or late in the evening when the pavement and air have cooled off.

✅ Provide plenty of shade if your pet is outside, and consider bringing them indoors during peak heat hours.

✅ Know the signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion in pets:

Excessive panting

Dry, sticky gums

Lethargy or weakness

Sunken eyes

Loss of appetite

Vomiting or diarrhea

Skin losing elasticity (gently pinch the skin — if it doesn’t quickly snap back, your pet could be dehydrated)

🚨 If you notice any of these symptoms, move your pet to a cool area, offer water, and call us immediately.

Please share. This is one of our clients dogs. He got out of the fence in the storm last week with their other dog. They found one dog that was a few miles away but the Boston still hasn't been found.
