I stole these pics from that he took today while cuddling the piggies between chores. Una is such a beautiful young lady these days at just about 7 months old 🥹 We get so many questions about her being a goat, or a baby deer, but she’s a Soay sheep! 🐑

We were lucky to have a couple hours of sunshine today, but tomorrow we are back in the trenches with heavy rain and wind. Life in the Pacific Northwest rain forest! 🌲

We’re just getting our heads above water again tonight after the giving Tuesday madness! We are incredibly grateful to every person who donated to our rescue farm-ily’s winter hay fund! We got exactly halfway to the $6k needed! Our community is INCREDIBLE 🫶🏼💕

The fog rolled in tonight while I was doing night chores and feeding…the Christmas lights and fog are one of my favorite vibes 🥹

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the 3rd and 4th-grade class from the Odyssey Multiage Program on Bainbridge Island. The kids fell in love with our animal family so much that they decided to organize a used book sale fundraiser to support them!

These creative and thoughtful students even found photos from our Instagram and designed the most adorable flyers (seriously, zoom in—they’re too cute!). Their hard work paid off, and they raised an incredible $500 for our rescue family!

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. A huge thank you to the amazing students, faculty, and families who came together to make this happen. Your kindness means the world to us and our animal family! 💕🫶🏼🙏⭐️

It was hoof trimming day for all the ponies!! Special thank you to our amazing new volunteer Amy who volunteered to help hold the ponies while they got a pedicure which is huge for me and frees up so much of my time to focus on other work.

We truly could not run this sanctuary without the generous time that our dedicated animal care team gives 🥹 #

Who knew this little fellow was such a great sales-donkey 😂

We are packing up our house today to allow for asbestos workers to come in and do some work on our flooded floors this week. We’ll be moving the entire house crew into the RV which will be interesting to say the least lol 🐾 I’ll be hanging Christmas lights this week to take the edge off the chaos happening with our home.

I’ve been reading a lot about nervous system regulation and the emergence of the “unhustle” movement lately.

Burnout is everywhere it seems.

Burnout does not discriminate. It causes people to feel disengaged from their purpose and value. It can be so depleting that your life satisfaction plummets - you stop seeing your friends and family and doing things that give you joy. You struggle to get up in the morning and sleep at night. It can lead to depression and anxiety, a lack of self-efficacy in your capabilities.

What if slowing down the pace is the solution to doing less, but better? Less anxiety, less stress, less burnout. More focus, more creativity, more impact. ❤️
