STARLIGHT!!
Starbright.
First star I see tonight,
Wish I may, wish I might,
Have this wish, I wish tonight!

Starlight is still wishing for her forever home!!!
She is a 3 year old, female Dutch Shepherd who is packed with personality and love. She is eager to please and easily trained (just needs consistency). She loves to cuddle and burrow in your lap. But my favorite are her hugs when she sees you return! She is a typical Shepherd and will need some time to run and explore, but remember to have that lap ready afterwards.😊

Burger is HERE!!! 🥰

He has spent the past 4 years with his loving family with kiddo buddies and is now ready to find his forever home!!

Burger is a smart and lovable 5yr old male Collie Mix. He is a fast learner and easily trainable if you have plenty of treats. 🙂 He has been great with kids and likes to spend his day close to his people. While he has been great with kids, we are recommending no families with children under 12 per his trainer. He looks forward to outside lounge time and playtime with his pup pals but is perfectly content cuddled up next to you and always has time for belly rubs.
He does get nervous with strangers and loud noises and needs a proper introduction to feel safe. He would do best with a calm and loving family that will appreciate his excitement to be a part of a family again. We also encouraged his new family to work with a trainer to positively counter condition him to any nervous behaviors.

Since being at our facility he has made tons of pup and human friends. He is always up for playtime and wants to be a part of any and all the fun times in the yard. He has shown some poor bite inhibition when he is excited and his new family will need to help him find his soft mouth. Training seems to come easy for Burger, given his eagerness to please his people.

He is currently staying at The Great Outdoors Pup Camp in Kingston, WA.

Queenie is a gorgeous, friendly, loving girl from Kuwait who has traveled long and far to find her forever.

Queenie approximately 3 years old. She’s an Arabian Village dog rescued from Kuwait.

Queenie is super intelligent and LOVES to work and is eager to please her person! Give her a puzzle, find it games, or an agility course! She LOVES hiking, running, sunbathing, and a quiet place to retreat to when she needs a moment.

Queenie is unsure of strange dogs and humans and will need managed introductions to new situations. She has a tendency to protect her family and her space, but in neutral territory is much more amenable. From Queenie’s foster mom:

Hi Facebook Family!! We need to get this lovebug adopted!! She deserves her forever home pronto!

Starlight is an ideal family dog! She is such a happy pup, you can't help but smile when she is around!! She is confident yet submissive and sooooooo eager to please. She loves running and cuddles more than anything on this planet. She has learned how to play fetch, sit, nose (recall), and get your toy. She is soooooo smart and needs time to play. Do you like hiking or exploring?! Then she would be your best companion. Because she is a dutch shepherd, Starlight thrives when she is out exploring. She loves to "work" and lead the pack on adventures. She has been fostered with 2 young children (5yrs & 6yrs old) and her favorite things to do are play fetch, race the kids with zoomies and share their beds. Unfortunately, the family has moved and longer has the outdoor space that Starlight deserves. She fits in well with many types of pups - disabled, male, female, dominant, and not. She would do best in a home with kids but no cats. 🙂

Baron started out in Kuwait as a new puppy pet. But once he outgrew his puppiness, his owner decided he didn't have any use for him and dumped in a quarry construction site to fend for himself. Luckily, some people heard about this and spent several days searching for him. They finally found him on top of a mound of rubble and was able to save him. But it hasn't been easy learning to trust again. After 2 years with his savior, they have asked WAG to help find him a new home that will care for Baron with all the love and patience that he deserves.

We have been working Baron for a few months with a trainer and our staff here at The Great Outdoors Camp in Kingston, WA. He is making SO much progress!! He is shy and suspicious of new people at first and used to be nervous around other pups but now he is playing with our big pups and warming up to people much quicker!! He is such a love bug who wants nothing but cuddles, treats and the occasional run around! He is very loyal and truly go happy. He plays well alone but also loves company!!

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED

💙Meet Leo!!

He had such a hard start on the streets of Kuwait and was then bounced around between trainers and fosters. Now, unfortunately, what we thought was going to be his forever home, have sadly decided to rehome him. Leo really needs to find his forever home and settle into a routine of pure love and joy. Let's help him find his happily ever after!!🥰

He is a very sweet, extremely smart dog. He LOVES walks and just being outside, so a fenced yard would be very beneficial so he can hang out for as long as he wants. He does not seem to be bothered by noises like fireworks or thunderstorms. He is not destructive and doesn’t counter-surf, so it’s not critical that he be crated when you’re not home but is crate trained and not bothered by it.

He has been tested with children over the age of 2 and has done very well with them. He’s not a huge jumper. Leo loves to meet new people and is very friendly towards all humans, but will also clearly communicate if he is afraid of a person or animal. One of his favorite people is the mail lady who would give him treats when he saw her, so he will get very excited every time he seems a mail truck.

Leo is not too picky about food and loves getting a greenie each night before bed- that’s one of his “routines”. He is a little more wary of human food. He does not like peanut butter, but will do anything for bacon.🥓🥓🥓 Leo loves to hop up on the couch and lay on laps.

He responds very well to consistency so walking and feeding him at the same time every day would be good for him. He gets excited just before meal time and walks, but will sometimes show difficulty with transitioning back into the house or routine after meals.

He can be leash reactive and will exhibit fear when he encounters another dog on on a walk. Leo's fears will usually manifest in a bark/growl/snarl. It is important for Leo's new family to help him gain confidence in these situations and create a safe environment for him to work through his fears. When at home, he will often retreat to his crate if he gets overwhelmed. Which clearly shows he is able to be trained and responds well to distractions and reductions of stimuli. He will come with his own "toy" box filled with his tools for distraction. A trainer could be very helpful to help the family optimize his tools and add new ones that work best for the family as a whole.

Overall, Leo is a great family dog that deserves the very best and cannot wait to be your best friend!
