Lately there have been numerous posts about lost pets that are purely a scam. 😡
It is sad that these people use poor animals as a phishing scam to get likes or shares.
Before liking or sharing a lost pet post, look closer at who is posting it:
A telltale sign is if the location and/or comments are turned off. Did they crosspost the pet to anywhere else to help find it?
Also if they have very few posts or have just joined social media.
A profile picture that isn’t quite right.
The less we share these bogus posts, the better.
As always, its best to have your pet microchipped and have a collar on them at all times in case they do happen to get loose!
