Sasha update: Day 2 has been a huge success. We are no longer pulling on the leash and walking loose leash among distractions. We just began recall today and it is not perfect by any means but she is starting to understand the command a bit.
Ross and Vito joining us at Crooked Creek Sunday for Buckeye Retriever’s Club first training day of the year. This is their first time ever running a hunt test set up and they both nailed it.
Another success story here at Deep Root Kennels. Anyone who has been around a GSP knows the endless energy of this breed. When Ellie came to us she was out of control jumping and pulling with no leash manners, now her family is able to enjoy her much more on walks and in the yard daily. She doesn’t pull on the leash anymore and is able to ignore passing other dogs. Today we are progressing in our training to off leash recall and heel work. If interested in getting your dog started in our board/train program or weekly individual classes give Deep Root Kennels a call today at 440-221-4344.
Maverick has come along way in his training since we began our journey back in December. We have finally left the days of pulling on leash and dragging us everywhere in the rear view mirror and now can enjoy Maverick on walks, runs, and off leash much more. For more information give Deep Root Kennels Ohio a call at 440-221-4344.
Sampson completely off leash in week two of our training. When you make recall a habit and you are the leader of the pack, you don’t even need a recall command because they will naturally follow.
This afternoon Sampson is continuing his work on recall as well as problem solving with obstacles. Should I go left, should I go right, or maybe it’s a nice day for a swim.
