It has been brought to our attention that an inaccurate post is going around that we have closed down. We have not closed, however, we have suspended all services until we are able to fix a current issue. Maryland passed a law in October 2024 removing the protection by liability waivers for recreational businesses like ours. This includes the liability waivers that we have our riders sign prior to hitting the trails. This has affected many insurance companies that carry trail riding coverage, many of which have dropped that coverage. The remaining carriers are charging astronomically. The resulting premiums represent a large portion of our hay budget for the year. We operate on donations to our non profit organization and trail riding funds. If we are not able to trail ride, we cannot operate.

We have been welcomed back to our former location in Kingsville if we are able to resolve this issue. As of now, all of our animals have been adopted into wonderful homes.

Please do not drive onto the property. Trail riding is suspended until further notice. ❤️🫏

🚚 Packing up for our trip to NC to help Hurricane Helene victims. We have gotten so many awesome donations! We leave this Friday! Pet food, litter, livestock feeds, TSC gift cards are always able to be added to the load since we are helping some local shelters in and near Marshall. No more hay space available. Thank you all so much for your kindness to these folks who have lost EVERYTHING. ❤️🫏

2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ sure was a challenging and rewarding year. We were able to save many equines from slaughter and the auction pipeline. We also became a 501(c)3 non profit educational and rescue center. We are so blessed to have our volunteers, our board members, and our supporters! YOU! You all have helped us make a difference in these equines lives. Hey y’all! We are collecting items again to take down to WNC for the hurricane victims. Specifically farm items. Metal T posts, wood posts & boards, all livestock/pet feeds, litter, shavings, buckets, blankets, sheets, tack, barn items, whatever you have laying around that is in good shape would be wonderful for these folks who have lost everything. If you got something for Christmas that you won’t use, consider donating it to the folks in North Carolina. Hats, gloves, blankets, coats, boots, heaters, ALL are needed. It is getting colder down there. We are heading down in late January so we have a few weeks to round up some items. Drop off in Kingsville or Forest Hill or arrange pick up with Lauren. ❤️🐎🫏❤️

Our newest rescues Bentley and Hershey have settled in well and starting to gain weight. They are the sweetest boys and we can’t wait to get them FAT! These guys were owner surrenders after they could not be cared for anymore. It takes a while to put weight back on thin horses. You want to throw all of the food at them to make them fat overnight, but that’s not how it works. These guys still look thin after being with us for three weeks. However, they have gained a good bit of weight and their coats have gotten very shiny! Winter is tough on horses as it is. Being thin makes it even harder to care for these guys. These guys have hit the jackpot with us and we are so excited to see what they become! 🐎
If you would like to come visit them and our other equines, please send us a message! They LOVE treats, Apples, carrots and pears!
