We're beyond thankful to everyone who came out today to visit and support our farm and see Santa, do pony rides, pet miniature horses, visit our petting zoo and enjoy our bonfire while sipping hot chocolate.
These events do not happen without the incredible kindness of those who work and volunteer at Hawks Hollow.
Starting with 2 pillars of the farm Becci Sponseller and Carla Warnick Turbin who manned the Petting Zoo and managed the Pony Rides. They both do so much to keep this farm running.
Deedge Unc ( George) is the best Santa and has done a superb job 2 years running as our Santa even donning a new suit this year.
Perhaps the toughest job today fell on our parkers Joseph Lassen and Steve Wandzilak . Considering we only had 71 people come out last year and had about 350 this year they were left with the task of squeezing all the cars in which was much harder than the Fall Festival because we didn't park in the front field. They also maintained the bonfire.
Our boarders Brittany Kolb and her husband Keith were kind enough to give up their Saturday and worked the miniature petting and decorating station .
And Cassie Emery and Brook at the last minute did and amazing job of snacks and hot chocolate . Cassie , with one day's notice , pulled everything together including bringing many goodies from Herman's Bakery which her family owns and I happen to frequent often. Their marshmallow donuts are the best !
Thanks to Melissa Morgan for helping me man the welcome table and also huge thanks the both Thelma Simmons and Julie Apple for all you do to fill the holes when needed .
And not often recognized enough are all the teens and pre teens that often jump in and help with these events. I'm grateful to you all.
The music today was outstanding coming through the speaker system. It really was wonderful seeing the excitement from the kids and meeting so many kind and wonderful people. Hoping we added a little to your Christmas this year! 🎄
