So many things that led this to be a very special hunt. Details to the week prior that kept me out of the woods since Thanksgiving, food poisoning, stitches in my left hand, deciding on setting up a new location, and without my compound as I was nursing a injury I took a friends cross bow.. not for the lack of trying it had been10 yrs since my last buck and I was not going to take anything lightly. I had scoped a nice boy few weeks back, but nothing since. Just as I'm about to get down, one last scan and I see bone thru my hemlock tree, worried he'd not come about in time before it was too dark, but he did, perfectly broadside only 20 yrds. I watched him kick out 20 more yrds, and a sight I'd not had the opportunity to see myself first hand with my deer staying in sight. Having that reassurance I sat back and took the largest relief sigh. Took my time getting to him, with lots of emotions come forth for a few mins I sat there. Took another breath and was ever thankful for such a animal on my birthday. Never expected it and even thought, I'm never this lucky, well persistence gets the break.

Been a little focused on filling a tag for archery and working dogs it was Sunday fun day that led to tonight's dinner..and my days working along side the finest chefs in Bucks County for a decade gets me creative again.... my version of buttermilk dredged Partridge Francaise with a Lemon Butter Beur Blanc accompanied with Coppola Chardonnay, this was yum yum holy s**t

These guys right here and I'm finally able to sit and share till now👉🧡 Duke(aka "Alpine")& Clayton, a first time handler👈 smoked it last week with their NA(Natural Ability) test a Prize 1,112 pts at 9mo old with The Yankee Chapter! I'm just ecstatic to the direction this whole litter is going!!

Some client dogs just sow their seeds into my heart. Otis has been so much fun to work with. So many people have this connotation that these breeds are impossible to train. I love watching clients work for the first time with a newfound understanding of their companion. These breeds can be a joy once you get smart with your relationship and stop looking for something to supress. Here's to many more years his person can have a stronger bond with him.

I wanted to take a minute and welcome everyone to the new podcast and social media page dedicated to all the German versatile hunting dog breeds. Please bear with me as I learn the “ins and outs” of podcasts, recording and editing them, and keeping the content entertaining for all the followers and listeners. I have a lot of content planned for this year and look forward to some input from my listeners! The first couple episodes start off at the beginning, but I’m sure it won’t be long before we are talking about content that will engage all from young to old and beginners to advanced.
