We adopted an abandoned 💩 and rehomed it to a nearby trash can during our walk this morning. I found it ironic because I also twice passed the guy that likes to accuse me of not picking up dog poo. I try to ignore this guy now because I have seen posts about him on the neighborhood Facebook group yelling at cyclists and others on the trail. But anyway, if I didn't clean up after the pack, I sure would have a lot of poo to try to avoid stepping in during the walks, which would eventually become impossible 🤪

Today, we completed our final donations to rescue for 2024, which totaled $2,225 to Great Pyrenees Rescue Society (on behalf of Sierra, Dutch, Hugo, Halo, Lulu, Philly, Riva, Rusty, Maple, Kiwi, Tucker, Gus, Roxy, Beau, Maple, Finn, Maggie, and Rue). We will continue to donate 5% of pack walk profits to rescue organizations during 2025. 
If you are able, please consider supporting rescue organizations by becoming a foster, adopter, or donor. Fosters are commonly the number one need for many rescue organizations. Fosters provide a temporary home for a dog and help prepare them for their forever home. Although fostering can sometimes be challenging, there is nothing better than seeing them be adopted and receiving happy updates from adopters!

I often see things during the day that remind me of my previous job as an engineer. We found a Genie Telehandler this afternoon, which a client had requested using as the design basis for lifting submersible pumps from the new pump station that I was designing. I remember being on site for startup of the pump station when the adoption screener for Great Pyrenees Rescue Society contacted me about our adoption application for Brophy. 🐻‍❄️
