In the Forest! Mother Nature has some amazing healing plants/mushrooms/trees.

Right now we are connecting with the Red Cedar. Thuja placate- great for respiratory and urinary issues and fungal infections. Very calming and powerful. Thank you Scott Kloos!

What happens during a bodywork appointment?

When animals come to me for bodywork, I first perform a diagnostic- I see where they are showing sensitivities. Then I can use a combination of VOM (veterinary orthopedic manipulation) to align the spine and acupuncture to balance the meridians.

I also use acupuncture and laser to help open up the energy channels, clear up stagnation, and help with stiffness and sensitivities; and to open the spine to help the animal to move more easily and symmetrically.

This process also helps realign the organs. This is because meridians that are opened up during acupuncture are related to organs, so it helps to open up all the pathways.
Even one treatment can help animals walk and move better. Often it’s a longer process, but even one treatment can provide your fur baby with relief!

Preventative care is so important throughout your animal's life- if the animal is given this kind of care throughout its younger years, when the animal gets to be a senior it’s so much easier for them. I have been posting a bit on the importance of holistic preventative care. I often get asked about how this kind of holistic care can help with injuries. In terms of injuries- the earlier an injury is detected the better and having preventative care as a part of your animal's wellness plan can help with this.

If an injury isn’t detected early and treated, it can create scar tissue that can create tension and imbalances! So the sooner the better, but bodywork can help put things back into balance even if the injury is old.

Satchi is a great example! Sachi received weekly acupuncture, cold laser and chiropractic care that helped him walk years after his spinal injury.

Memorial Day:

The "Memorial" in Memorial Day has been ignored by too many of us who are beneficiaries of those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom and liberty. Often we do not observe the day as it should be, a day where we actively remember those Americans including our ancestors, family members, loved ones neighbors and friends who have paid the price for the blessings of liberty.

Why do animals need bodywork & chiropractic care?

Our animals are often stoic- they tend not to complain about small things- so we sometimes don’t notice an issue when it first occurs. They seem fine to us, even though they may have suffered an injury.

One of the reasons why it’s so difficult for us to notice is because our animals are good at compromising. Because our cats and dogs are quadrupeds they may not, for example, limp on an injured leg, because they compromise by relying on the other three.

Although this is helpful for them in the short term by taking the stress off the affected leg; it can cause issues in the long run by throwing off other parts of the body.

By not using their body in the intended way, it causes tension and stress in other parts of their body (neck, back, spine, fascia) that then holds them back and limits their movement over time. Bodywork & chiropractic care can get things rebalanced and allow your fur baby to move more comfortably and prevent further injury!

This is Dory. Both of her CCL (ACL) ligaments are torn, plus both her elbows have osteoarthritis.

She gets acupuncture, VOM, cold laser therapy, and PEMF therapy to heal her stifles, elbows, and spine. She is such a wonderful patient and beautiful supermodel!

This is Koda, a young Husky who had an injury as a pup. He is laying on my PEMF mat after receiving his acupuncture, VOM, and cold laser therapy.

Sometimes he gets so relaxed, he doesn’t want to get up to go home.
