We're continuing our countdown to the end of 2024 with LIKA! 😍 This sweet girl has been enjoying lots of active time outside with her new mom. So glad they found each other!

We've unfortunately had two adoptions fall through in the last week, so we're hoping you can please SHARE this post so we can find each of these handsome lab-mix boys a loving home!

First is Everson. Everyone who meets Everson talks about what a great dog he is. He's friendly, athletic, and smart; in other words, a Lab (with a little something else). We'd love to see him go to a home where he can have all the adventures he deserves.

Our other friend is Kingston. He's also an athletic, active dude and is very sweet. He LOVES his toys and always takes one on his walks. Kingston will do best in a home with some big dog experience, mixed with patience and love. He's a good boy, but needs just a little refinement in spots to be the best he can be!

We're continuing our countdown to the end of 2024 with AMELIA! 🥰 She is a happy girl in her new home with big windows where she can see all the wildlife in the area. She and her new brother, Wizard, are still getting used to each other, but they've been off to a positive start.

We all hear that , but what does that mean, really?

1. As a small rescue with no real facility to work with (like shelters have), it allows us to take in animals that we wouldn't otherwise be able to.

Did you know we're the only resource in Franklin County that works to find homes for animals that are stray or who have been intentionally dumped? Without foster homes, we wouldn't be able to do this important work and the animals would face an uncertain future.

2. Fostering helps animals receive the love, training, and support they need to make someone a great companion. Some of our animals have had really tough starts to life and fostering helps them trust humans again and show us their true personality. Adoptions wouldn't happen without this important time!

We can't pretend fostering is always easy, but it is rewarding and so meaningful to the animal! The basic requirements are pretty much the same: space, time, patience, and willingness to help, with differences between the animals to their specific needs.

Everyone, meet Solomon! He's a newbie to our rescue and we're hoping to find a foster for him ASAP.

Solomon is about two years old and is listed as a Labrador mix. He's currently about 80 pounds. He's described as friendly and calm, with medium energy. He does well with other dogs.

Solomon does walk on a leash, but is a little fearful. Understandable, as he's been through a lot lately! Hopefully with some patience and love, he'll be the best boy he can be very soon.

Cats, cats, cats! We have cats and kittens looking for new homes for the holidays!

We have a few solo kitties looking for homes, and we want them to have other cats to bond with: Jax (our newest tabby baby), Amy (tabby), and Luna (black).

We also have two bonded pairs: Apricot and Acorn (tux and calico) and Chunky and Monkey (tabby boys). They must be adopted as pairs.
