On this Saint Paddy's Day, we want to share a story of 🍀luck🍀.

Remember sweet Ebony? She and Ellie were found in Connell as strays, and we were baffled at how two such pretty, sweet dogs could not belong to someone. No one claimed them, so we put them up on Facebook and their 🍀luck🍀 began to change.

Ebony was almost immediately snapped up by a lovely family with five beautiful wooded acres and a young daughter to be her best friend. Now known as Raya, she is thriving with all the love and adventures she's getting!

Ellie's happy ending is still in the works, but we're hoping to have a Happy Tail for you soon.

Of course, we all know this isn't all down to 🍀luck🍀:

🍀We have volunteers to give their love and time to support these animals and help keep the rescue running.
🍀We have donors who help us money for critical vet care and give food and supplies that we couldn't afford otherwise.
🍀We have fosters who give pets temporary shelter so we don't have to keep animals in kennels very long.
🍀We have lots of followers who share and like our posts so the animals are visible to more people.

Where are our small and/or senior dogs folks at? We need your help!

We recently had six little dogs come into the rescue and we are looking for fosters for our new little friends. Luckily, someone already stepped forward for one of them, so we're looking for folks willing to take the rest in.

First up is Tessa, a tiny senior Chihuahua. She's definitely showing her age with a stiff back and hips and glassy eyes. She also has a maxillary tumor. This sweetie was found wandering the streets of Connell and is just looking for someone to love her. She's very loving and is looking for a warm lap to snuggle one.

The two fluffy white little guys are Sammy and Little Jack, a father/son duo. Along with Buddy and Holly, they lived happily in a home until their owner passed away. The dogs were locked out of the house for a couple of days after that until a kind neighbor caught them and brought them to us.

Sammy, the one standing on the blue blanket, is very friendly and loves pets. His son, Little Jack, is shy and still very confused about what's going on. He will need some patience and love to come out of his shell. Little Jack does use p*e pads to potty.

Re: #3 - Seriously, what's up with that? Bunny is the sweetest, cutest little thing. She's a love and a half and makes a great companion. She does well with men and women and has lived well with a cat. What else could you ask for?

Any shy cat specialists out there? The mama cat in this photo, Jewell, is so far in her shell we think she might be part turtle. 🤣

But seriously, we need to find Jewell a new foster home by the end of March, one that understands shy kitties and is willing to give lots of patience and love to help her thrive.

Say hello to Buddy and Holly!

This brother and sister recently lost their home due to the passing of their owner. They've had a tough few weeks since and need a place they can call home, whether temporarily or forever.

We know they're about 4 years old, but that's about it. They're as friendly as can be and will compete for your love.

Wondering about how Cupcake is doing? Well, wonder no more! (TLDR: She needs a foster!)

Cupcake was thankfully able to get out of the kennel for a time and enjoyed stretching her legs and getting some playtime.

But, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately, Cupcake got into a tangle with another dog and needs to find a new foster or forever home. Hopefully it goes without saying that she needs a home without other dogs.

She may not like other dogs, but Cupcake LOVES people. She's a sweet girl who has had a tough life and we're hoping to find her a home where she gets all the love she deserves.

Look at our Nova girl! After months of living in a kennel, she had the opportunity to do a short stint in the home of one of our volunteers. She proved that she is 100% love bug and desperately wants a forever home.

We could use your help! If you've been following Nova's story, you know that she is extremely dog reactive and that's prevented her from finding the family she's always wanted. We have a chance to send her for a "board and train" with a trainer we've worked with previously. This comes at a cost, though, so we're reaching out to all of you, our Nova fans, for help. One of the best ways you can support our work is by fostering. Please SHARE this post so we can get these dogs in front of potential fosters!

We are a small rescue and only have a few kennels in Eastern Washington where we can hold animals. As you might imagine, there isn't much enrichment or human interaction for them there, and it's far from ideal in the winter. This means we rely on fosters or end up incurring costs for boarding. Would you consider fostering for us?

Looking for a sweet pair of kitties to light up your life? Check out Gemma and Jax, two baby kitties looking for a forever home.

They are not litter mates, but have recently been paired to provide social connection and seem do be doing well. Jax is a playful, loving little guy, while Gemma is on the quieter side. They will make great companions for someone!

Solomon recently spent some time in a foster home and got some walkies, so he's a happy boy. Check out the video to see how good he is on a leash!

Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, Solomon needs a new foster home and is temporarily in boarding. The senior dogs in his foster home weren't too happy he was there. He does great with other dogs and makes a wonderful walking and hiking companion.

Want to hear some good news? Kimmi is out of the kennel! She's currently being boarded where she can get outside and play with other dogs and is THRIVING! We're so glad for our sweet girl.

Everyone, direct your attention to SOLOMON! He's been with the rescue a few weeks now and has been showing us what a star he is in a foster home. We need to find him a new foster placement soon and are, of course, always looking for a forever home. Are you the one?

Solomon is about 2 years old and is a gentle giant at 74 pounds. He loves people and other dogs and is quite the loyal companion. He loves walking and is good on a leash. He's house trained, but not a big fan of crates and being confined.

Solomon is on the shy side, but does warm up. He takes longer with men, but has been getting to know his foster (human) brother along the way. With lots of love and patience, Solomon is ready to be the bestest boy.

It's National Chocolate Cake Day, according to Facebook, so how about a little CUPCAKE?!

Cupcake is a pup that just wants to find a home with someone that loves her. This girl has so much love to give and is ready to meet her person.

The tough thing is that we're looking for a 🦄 unicorn 🦄! Cupcake needs a home with no other dogs, one where she can get the attention and love she needs. She's had such a tough life and we want her to have the happy ending she deserves. Every share this post gets her closer to that.

How can it be that Bunny hasn't found her forever home yet?! Look at that sweet face! And those ears!

Bunny seems to be seeking to answer the question, "How much love can you pack into a seven-pound body?" She is a lover through and through and charms everyone she meets. She can be on the quieter side and loves to just hang out and snuggle.

This gentleman with the soulful eye is Webber. He's looking for a foster or forever home... will you give this good boy a chance?

Webber is house and crate-trained and knows several commands. He loves playing fetch and enjoys walks. He has been living with a family for several years and has been a loyal and loving companion. However, he struggles with being overprotective and does not react well to visitors coming in the home. The next best place for him will be a quieter home without children and with few visitors.

Jewell and her baby, Gemma, were found as strays in Connell in eastern Washington. Gemma has been paired with another kitten and we're now hoping to find Jewell a quiet home with another cat she can bond with.

Jewell is quiet and shy, which isn't surprising, given her past. She will need someone who's willing to be patient while she comes out of her shell. When she does, though, how rewarding that will be!
