We are sorry to announce that we will no longer be breeding and offering Boerboels to the public. This season is needed to focus on different aspects of our life and is the best decision for our family. Thank you to all those who have bought dogs from us in the past we value the relarionships we have built over these wonderful dogs.

Our Story

Guardians by the Woods started in 2017 with the birth of our second child, Hatch Macray. We wanted a pair of dogs to grow up with our children, guard our home and our small farm, and the Mastiff was hands down our breed of choice. Jubilee and Jewels have since become an integral part of our family. A few years later we adopted Tall Oaks Sansa, a beautiful South African Boerboel Mastiff, and she, too, quickly became family. These majestic dogs are known for their unmatched power, protective character, and calm and confident composure. We carefully select our breeding matches to bring out the best qualities in temperament, build, and prowess. We take care that each one of our remarkable guardians is placed in a loving home where he or she can serve their family with their exceptional gifts.
