I absolutely love to hear from people about how their furbabies are doing. This man got Minnie from me about a year ago and he sends me updates every 3 months or so. She is a Pomtese or Maltipom. She is around 5 lbs and will stay that size.
This gives everyone an idea of what they look like full grown and she was solid black as a baby. So she has gained color to her solid black coat. And beautiful hair at that!
This makes my heart happy!
These are some other puppies we have right now.
Our little maltese girl is ornery and mouthy. She is white with small, very light biscuit color on her head and ears. My lighting is just awful where I took the pictures.
The maltipoos are tiny and so sweet. The little male is bossy but loves his belly rubs. One female is a little bossy and mouthy. The other female is laid back and quiet. Mom and dad weigh a whopping 5 lbs each.
We have 4 Miniature Poodles. I was so excited to see chocolate babies! One male is black and tan or phantom colored. And 1 single female that is apricot in color. They are just starting to try to play and toddle around.
Female Maltipom or Pomtese. I guess most people call this mix Pomtese.
This little lady is a doll. She has all the sass and go-get-em of the Pomeraian and all the sweet of the Maltese. She will be ready for her new 🏡 on 9-7-24. Pm if interested.
Morkie babies. I just love this cross. I feel you get the best of both breeds. They are always so sweet but they also pack a nice amount of sass with them.
This is Megatron. He is a full blooded Miniature Poodle. He will be 8 weeks old on June 8th. He is such a sweetie and is looking for a 🛋 to call 🏡. Lowered $ due to him having an overbite. This will not cause any issues for him but he will not be registered.
This is a male Maltipoo. He is sweet and loving and loves attention. He is ready to find a couch to call his own!

Because of their sparkling personalities and eager-to-please smarts, Maltipoos make wonderful pets for families, older folks, and even novice dog owners. They are considered hypoallergenic therefore they are good for people with allergies. They do require regular hair care and upkeep. They are very smart little guys with lots of personality.

Pyometra (Uterine Infection in dogs)
Having lost 2 bi***es in my small kennel to this dreaded & often fatal disease, I would like to shed light onto this problem in our beloved dogs.
Last month when I ended up taking Miss Holly to an emergency spay due to Pyometra, my veterinarian said: “When will you learn to listen to science & not skip your bitche’s heats?”
I was taken back by this question and asked him to please explain the new science in this.
Here is what he said:
“Biologically the bitch is made to have 2 litters yearly. She does not have a metestrus (where the progesterone drops if not pregnant), but has a diestrus (where the progesterone stays elevated regardless of pregnancy). Repro veterinary science now reveals the damaging effects on the endometrium of the repeated progesterone. The biological facts are that there is no advantage to skipping an estrous cycle (heat) in a healthy bitch as the progesterone will be elevated and the endometrium regardless of pregnancy status. The placenta sites are totally healed 12 weeks post whelping”.
He also said: “It is optimal to breed in the second heat, and every cycle, rather than skip heats and thus breed older bi***es because the uterus is a young dog’s organ and fertility is optimal prior to 5 years of age. But that in order to do so the bitch should be in optimal body condition, so both diet & exercise should be employed to achieve that.”
His words have given me much to ponder, as I am of the older belief that skipping heats were meant to be good, and to always wait to breed until after 2 years of age.
But having had lost 2 bi***es to Pyometra in 6 years, I am now terrified to ignore science any longer.
And I was lucky that my bi***es did not have CLOSED Pyometra, as their uterus explodes and the bitch goes septic & dies. 😱😱
So in the midst of it all, I still think I’m blessed.😜
I know it’s a common mistake to treat our dogs as if they had a reproductive system comparable to the humans, but to get my brain to look at things from a scientific point of view can be hard for me 🤔

When it comes to designer dogs, the Cockapoo is an old hybrid, popular since the 1960s. I still have a few Golden Retrievers needing 🏡! They are very sweet and growing fast. Weighing around 20 lbs. And the runt weighs 16 lbs. They were not happy to have to sit still for pictures. They would much rather be running wild and free and dragging all my stuff around. Lol
These guys are growing right up! They weigh between 10 and 12 pounds and such happy babies! Golden Retrievers, Kirksville, Mo
All puppies are kept up to date on shots and dewormed. Also vet checked before leaving my care.
