Before we introduce our 2025 exec team, I’m important to recognize and say goodbye to some of our 2024 exec members!

Anna Cooper, our 2024 President, says that her favorite part of being on exec was helping plan the team trip to the World Cup in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to helping plan the trip, she enjoyed helping host our show in October. Her favorite Truman horses are Bobbie and Chester. Finally, her biggest piece of advice to our next President is to enjoy every minute of it!

Aubrey Bachman, our 2024 Secretary, says that her favorite part of being on exec was getting to know everyone on the team and make great memories together. Her favorite Truman horses are Sneaks, Nova, and Chester. Finally, the advice that she would give to the next Secretary is to have fun and not be afraid to share any new ideas that they might have!

Madeline Burwell, our 2024 Stock Historian, says that her favorite part of being on exec was getting more involved in the team. Her favorite Truman horses are Fury and Flick. Finally, her advice to the next Hunt Historian is to be flexible and communicate!

Payton Koopman, our 2024 Fundraising Chair, says that her favorite part of being on exec was making memories with her teammates at practice and shows. Her favorite Truman horses are King and Fury. Finally, her advice to the next Fundraising Chair is to always uplift and cheer on your teammates!

Thank you Anna, Aubrey, Madeline, and Payton for everything that you did for the team last year. We can’t wait to see what your future hold for you!

Our next and last senior to be recognized is Madeline Burwell! She is graduating with a Bachelors degree in accounting. After graduation she will be continuing her education through the accounting masters program at Truman and taking the cpa exam. Her favorite horses are Fury, Flick, and Ares. Her favorite memory with the team is hosting the IHSA show at Truman!

As we near the end of the semester it is time to recognize our fall graduating seniors! Our first senior is Payton Koopman. She is graduating with a health science degree. After graduation she plans on attending grad school to get her masters of occupational therapy. Her favorite Truman horses are Fury and King, and her favorite memory with the team is when we hosted the IHSA show at Truman! Congratulations Payton, good luck on your next adventure. MSU stock show recap! The team had a great time at the last show of the semester, thanks to for hosting a great show! Some highlights include Anna Cooper receiving high point rider in level 1, and Aubrey Bachman pointing up into Level 1! We are so proud of all our riders, everyone did amazing. We also want to recognize our two seniors Payton Koopman and Madeline Burwell, who will be graduating in December and this was their last show! We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, we can't wait for next semester!

The TSU Equestrian Team had a great time hosting a show this past weekend. Our stock riders rode on Saturday and our hunt riders rode on Sunday, everyone did amazing. This past weekend the Equestrian Team of Truman State University hosted three IHSA shows with riders from 15 different schools in 5 different states around the Midwest. The shows could not have happened without the support of all of the teams in our region who came to help before, during, and after the shows and the support of our alumni who, under no obligation, came to support the current team with knowledge of hosting shows in the past. Most of all, the show could not have happened without all of the wonderful equine athletes from both from Truman and those borrow from other universities and members of the Kirksville community. We are so thankful to have the support of Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses to show our support of the hard work the horses put in all weekend. All borrowed horses went home with a bag of the original treat and the participants were each given sample packs of the new formulas to pass out to the horses during the weekend.

Our hunt team had an amazing first show at K-State this weekend, thank you to KSU for hosting such an amazing show! Introducing our fall 2024 Exec Board! Here is what each position is the most excited about going into the new semester!

President Anna Cooper is excited about hosting a show for the first time and to have a great last year with the team.

Vice president Meghan McCracken is excited to meet all our new members and to travel to horse shows with the team.

Secretary Aubrey Bachman is excited about hosting a show and making more great memories with the team.

Treasurer Eliana Steinman is excited to get back to riding more.

Stock Historian Madeline Burrell is excited to further grow closer as a team and continue showing.

Hunt Historian Lauren Munns is excited to to be back at Truman and riding with the team again.
