The Papillon is a small, friendly, elegant toy dog that is dainty and of lively action; distinguished from other breeds by its beautiful butterfly-like ears.

Are you interested in this breed? The OFA, working with the Papillon Club of America, recommends the following basic health screening tests for all breeding stock:
- ACVO Eye Exam
- Patellar Luxation
Health Elective (one of the following):
- Cardiac Exam (Basic, Advanced, or Standard Congenital Cardiac Exam)
- PRA1
- NAD

Dogs meeting these basic health screening requirements are issued Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) numbers. For potential puppy buyers, CHIC certification is a good indicator the breeder responsibly factors good health into their selection criteria.

Frankie is a sweet boy who loves to be by your sides to snuggle or play.
He uses the little box in his play pen but also goes outside to go potty with the other dogs.

Of course after our Fun Match Saturday we had to do some grasshopper hunting. One have Ava’s favorite things to do.

Lovelyacres Arctic Avalanche (Ava). We had so much fun today in Woodbine, Iowa. at the Eric Salas Workshops fun match. Ava won best in match handled by me. Ice won third handled by my son Finn. Wished I would’ve gotten more pictures of all of us but I was off my game and totally forgot. Thank you, so much Eric Jon Salas and Dawn for putting on the fun match!
