Some pictures from the last few days. Our Winter Intern/Volunteer took some pictures yesterday (her last day before returning to school). I always love the notes Lena leaves me on her last day. Lena worked on so much around the barn and working with four of our volunteers. Thank you! She was also there this week as we said goodbye to Nevada.

Dusty and I are learning to navigate without his brother. He has required a bit more attention and some new adventures for Dusty with adding Gizzy to the field I put Dusty in. These two are not the bestest buddies but they are doing better together everyday. I spent some time with Dusty while he ate his dinner. And as you can see from the pictures Gizzy isn’t jealous at all 🤣 checking to see what we are doing with Dusty. Also a picture Sara took of Noah giving Dusty kisses.

Sara and I spoke at last night’s Veteran Night at Morr Indoor Range and Training Center. We had a great evening and look forward to it every year. They have Veterans Night once a month - normally the first Thursday of the month. Thank you for always being supportive of our mission!

Nevada crossed the rainbow bridge today 🌈. He was with us for almost three years. He loved his brother (most of the time), leafy celery, kittens and had such a kind soul. Nevada was very patient with our participants and understood his job. He is already missed so much. Now he can run with Star.

Our Founder’s father, Greg Woerth, passed away yesterday. We are so thankful for his guidance and wisdom in addition to everything he instilled in Sara so she could help so many by creating Woerth It Hollow. Please keep Sara and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Gregory K. Woerth, age 70 of Kirkwood, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Greg was born in Lancaster, the beloved son of Doris Whitelock Woerth of Christiana and the late Kern A. Woerth. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Christmas in Qville was a great time! Thanks to our volunteers for helping with our booth and bringing the crayons and barn! We had a great time talking to friends a meeting new friends, giving stickers, candy and activity books away and taking pictures with our backdrop. Thank you to everyone that stopped by to see us.

We love what our participant families have to say. By coming to Woerth It Hollow they get to experience a connection with the horses, kittens, and nature. By completing tasks with the animals and around the barn they gain self-confidence, communicate with the animals without needing words, and learn more about themselves.
