Sunday lesson. Our participant worked on making feed for the horses, mixing it up…lots of mixing, cleaning a stall and spending time with some of the horses. She did a great job following ALL directions. So proud of her!

Well yesterday was a great day. Not only did Sara and I host the open house we also had an awards ceremony. A HUGE thank you to Blankets of Honor as well as Manny & Kim Acuna for all their help in putting this together. Several of our veterans were blanketed and we had awards for some of our key volunteers and a couple of our veterans that have already received a blanket from BOH. And for the donation from Blankets of Honor for the gifts for the volunteers we recognized. Please check out what they do by following them and going to blanketsofhonor.org - An incredible organization always supporting veterans.

Thank you to all our regular Saturday volunteers for feeding the horses and doing barn chores in the morning and helping us get ready for the event. It takes a village! Also a huge thank you to Carlos Martinez and Frederick Montney IV with some help from Luke to get the barnyard ready. It looked incredible! And a special thank you to Carlos for also making the plaques. They looked amazing! Thank you to Manny for bringing his Humvee and offering rides! Thank you to Julie, Trinity, Annalynn and Paige for helping to get everything ready for the event. Thank you Clyde Snyder and Bill Terry for holding the blankets for the recipients….all NAVY vets this time including my son. Bravo Zulu 💙⚓️.

We also heard from Bill Terry of Vets Breakfast Club - Lancaster, PA and Chris from VALOR Clinic Foundation.

I have created an album under our photos that includes all of the pictures I took yesterday as well as pictures that others sent to me.

Thank you to everyone that came out on a very breezy day. We are so blessed to have support from the community. And a shoutout to Domino’s in Oxford for helping with the pizza. And after the ceremony was over Gregg Baitinger went out to pick up hay for the horses!
