Our next C-WAGS trial will be on October 26-27, 2024 at Kirtland Community Center, 7900 Euclid Chardon Rd in Kirtland, Ohio. Come join us for two fun days of trialing. We are offering all levels of Investigator, Ranger, and Dasher. The Premium will be available on 9/9/24 at www.barnsandnoses.com.

Thank you to all of the competitors who made our Elite and NW3 trials a huge success. Khara Schuetzner, CO, set up challenging and fun hides throughout the fairgrounds. She kept our trials running efficiently. Our Score Room Lead, Laurie Ucasz and her assistant LynMarie Hamel got the ribbons out in no time flat. Craig Heintzelman and Elise Wintering, our judges, were great to work with and available to everyone to answer questions. Janice Lipscomb, Volunteer Coordinator and all of volunteers were AMAZING. Throughout the weekend, I was often asked by volunteers what more can I do to help! Ohio weather is extremely inconsistent but we had sun, clouds, and light wind which made me very happy. I was worried about 90 degree trial weekend weather for nothing.

I hope that you had a great time with your dog(s) at Ashtabula County Fairgrounds. Thank you EVERYONE!

We have 2 available openings in our NW3 trial on September 1, 2024 in Jefferson, Ohio. The link is still open to register at www.barnsandnoses.com. If you’re not quite ready for an NW3, you can run it For Exhibition Only (FEO) and get assistance with hide locations as well as the opportunity to get help from the judge. FEO is a great learning experience.

We are still looking for volunteers for either August 31 or September 1 for our NACSW trials in Jefferson, OH. Many of our volunteers are running in the trials so we are short. Please help out if you can.

If you are able to volunteer, please also consider volunteering your vehicle for the vehicle search at our NW3 trial on Sunday, 9/1. Why volunteer? You’ll get to watch highly skilled Nose Work teams, receive a gift card for helping, enjoy a catered BBQ lunch, and earn volunteer hours for an additional draw entry! Thank you to everyone who came to our Summer Trial in Kirtland. The judges, LynMarie Hamel, Julie Lakas, and Suzan Bocchiarelli set up fun courses with plenty of red, white, and blue decorations. We ran Dasher 3 for the first time and it was really fun. Give it a try next time. Janice and Bob Lipscomb kept everything moving and I judged and got to see plenty of handlers/friends from classes. The weather was warm but not humid and having an air conditioned search area was appreciated by the dogs, judges, and handlers. We hope to see you at our next C-WAGS trial in October.

Thank you everyone who joined us for our Memorial Day trial. I hope that you enjoyed yourself at Camp Ho Mita Koda and had some great runs with your dog(s). Our judges; Joanne Shupp, Tricia Barstow, and LynMarie Hamel set up fun courses in the Pavilion. The large room provided plenty of opportunities for hide placement. Janice and Bob kept things moving while I chased out the birds who wanted to join us and participate in Nose Work. We look forward to seeing many of you at our July 4 trial in Kirtland.
