Looking for volunteers in the Kissimmee area to spend a few hours a week playing with rats.
We breed rats, and we want to make sure they get enough human "fun time." If you like rats, or are curious about them, maybe it would be fun for you to spend some free time with ours? I've ordered an EnviroKlenz Air Purifier Mobile (without UV) from EnviroKlenz, and I will review how well it removes VOCs, in particular Ammonia, from the "Rat House!"

There are about 100 rats in my "Rat House": a detached, insulated 450 square meter structure purpose built for breeding rats. The Rat House has sensor controlled temperature, humidity and CO2, but the Ammonia is still noticeable and is bad for the rats' respiratory systems. Zeolite and litter with activated charcoal in the cages, and and Austin Air Pet Machine (which also incorporates zeolite and activated charcoal) as far have not been sufficient.

I'm honestly hoping that EnviroKlenz's mineral filter technology will work as well as their published testing shows!

Welcome to the Rat House #1 - The Playroom
We've built a separate little "Rat House" for our Roof Rats. It was designed specifically to make it easier to care for and play with them.

In this video, you can see The Playroom, which is a walk-in cage big enough for several people. It is "rat safe", as there is no-place for them to get lost and nothing that could injure them. We still need to add some toys and maybe places to climb. We can use this for socializing babies (which can be pretty fast and skittish until they are a bit older and used to being handled by people.) Visitors can also use The Playroom to play with our rats and maybe select their future pets.

Two bonded adult rats free to a good home in Kissimmee, Florida!

BB8 is a chubby, lazy rat. Betty is his best friend.
Yeah, I know what you're thinking: "won't they make babies together" Nope! BB8 is great at making friends with the ladies, but doesn't make babies with them. We've tried. It never works. Betty had a couple of litters in her youth, but she's over a year old and apparently no longer fertile. So, these two are a perfect pair, and they really seem to like each other!

If you can't decide on getting a male or female rat, then don't decide: chose both! BB8 and Betty are available today. Sorry, but we cannot deliver them.

We breed pet roof rats as a hobby and so we will have some as pets. We often have extras in our litters, which are free to good homes. If you are interested, please get in touch! We are in Kissimmee, minutes from Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando. FYI, many airlines will allow you to bring small pets in a cage as a carry-on, so consider bringing home a wonderful new pet after your next vacation to Florida!
