MEDICAL S.O.S

As usual rescue never stops, the bills just get bigger and the animals in need keep coming!

This beautiful baby girl ‘Sugar’ just 10 months old came to us recently from a shelter down south.

Today she went to the vet to get an issue with her back leg checked out.
She wasn’t walking properly on it and it seemed smaller than the rest.

Bad news is that it needs surgery ASAP. This poor baby has likely been in pain for a very long time, but still managed to be the sweetest, most snuggly, playful girl.

On the bright side, an amazing family have fallen in love with her.!!

But we need to get her surgery, get her out of pain, and then set her up for therapy .

It just never ends.

So once again we are reaching out to our amazing village and asking for your help. All donations will go directly to helping get this brave little puppy back on her feet. All four of them!!

Darling Abu is looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow at our yard sale. He’s hoping his new person stops by to find him 💕

Gentle 7 year old little man. Walks great on leash and housebroken… but best of all… gives the most wonderful snuggles!!! He is such the little gentleman 🐕

💕OLIVE (formerly Tinkerbell) UPDATE

Our precious teeny tiny is living her best life. She has a wonderful hospice home and we’re hoping for a long and very adored life for this beyond adorable diva.

Her momma Kim shared some photos with me and thought you’d all like to see. Olive looks just like a movie star 🌟

Thank you Kim and family for giving this munchkin such a special home!

Made a trip south last week to pick up 3 littles in need.

Thank you dear Panna for hosting me and for such a wonderful evening with the shelters volunteers. Was great to actually sit and get to know you all over such a great meal. see you all again soon!

I bought back these 3 darling littles. Sugar and Abu are looking now for their furever adoptive homes and our special girl Rosie is looking for a soft landing with a hospice /foster home. She still has so much love and joy to share💕

💕💕I could not be happier!!!💕💕

My oh so beloved and special little Tinkerbell’ found the perfect hospice foster.

She has a new name, Olive, which suits her oh so well. 2 new four legged siblings and an amazing family.

This little girl has been through so much and is still a loving little fighter.
It was hard to see her go… and I shed tears as I drove away💕 I always have to remind myself that the goal is to get them healthy and decompressed and ultimately send them to loving furever homes.

Her new family stopped by to visit at our tractor supply food drive and I could tell they already adored her!

Rescue is tough!

💕ADOPTED 💕

Our long time resident Tina had a meet and greet on Friday… and found her forever person!!
She has a doggy sibling and a new home that understands her.

I am so happy for her. She had become very special to me💕

So yesterday was sweet Dollys turn for a vet visit. She was such a good girl!!
Hopefully just a food allergy issue so her wonderful foster to adopt family will work in some changes.

Monday is little senior Bella’s turn, desperately in need of a dental and some help with a skin issue, then little Tinkerbells turn for X-rays and dental….

So as anyone in rescue knows… there’s always something happening.🤦‍♀️

On Thursday night I noticed what seemed like a tick ‘bump’ on the side of our beloved, permanent resident Hoppys’ face. Ticks have been terrible this year and although every dog here is on Nexgard… they still get bit.

Saturday morning her poor little face was all swollen…. Time for the vet.
Luckily our wonderful vet Sarah Green at Healing Spirit animal Wellness agreed to see her straight away, although I know she was already swamped.

Hoppy got some sedation, site opened and cleaned and some tiny little staples.
Yesterday she looked horrible.. but this morning her little chipmunk face is slowly deflating.

So grateful…

Today another added vet visit for couch potato Dolly, who is out with a wonderful family on foster to adopt, is headed to Sarah after developing some irritating itchy issue. Hopefully we can get it figured out quickly and get Dolly feeling itch free again.

Next is x-rays for our little Tinkerbell. This darling little bug size chihuahua has multiple issues so we are looking to see what we can best do to give her the best, pain free remaining time she may have. We are hoping for a long , and well deserved life to be treated like a princess. (Dental for sure)

Then little Bella will be headed in for her major dental. This sweet little chihuahua has probably never had vet care 🤬

Every animal we take in will get the care they need. We feel they deserve the best we can give them and our promise to them is that they will be loved and treasured from now on!! Most have had tragic and sad pasts.

As always our bills are high, and yes, we are ALWAYS in need of help…

💕💕💕 Our residents wanted to send out valentines wishes to all their supporters and well wishers.💕💕💕

Our little rescue is so grateful for all the love, support and donations. We truly love what we do and although it gets tough, every happy ending, wagging tail and contented sound from the barn helps us keep moving forward.

With well over 250 rescues coming through our gates since we started, we feel so blessed that our village has continued to support and encourage us.

We still have some wonderful littles looking for foster/foster to adopt homes.

We take in/rescue mostly doggos with some issues, so here is a little run down…

TINA….sweet,loving, housebroken… and adorable. Just a little shy when she first meets you. Always very gentle and goofy.

ELLIE….beautiful, housebroken, loves to play with her dog friends. Needs another little dog in the house for security, company and lots of zoomie fun! This girl is very shy of other people so really needs time to warm up. Needs someone who will take time with her and let her take her time.
I feel that once she gains her confidence she will be the perfect companion.

ASH….This little gremlin has definitely had past human trauma. It’s taken so long for her to feel confident with me and come sit and snuggle. She is goofy, playful and wants so badly to trust you.
She also needs a home with another little. Recently went out to foster but came back next morning after ‘barking’ in the night.
She does not bark here, she sleeps curled up with one of the other littles, which I’m sure makes her feel safe, and sleeps through the night.
This sweet girl just needs a chance to become her best self, and the person to give her that time.

KIWI….smart,energetic, loves to run and play. Housebroken, well mannered and snuggly.
I adore her! She has a hard time first meeting strangers, and can be a little off. When she first came here she was terrified of everything and everyone. Now she is so much more outgoing and will spend time with our volunteers and visitors.
She so deserves a home with someone who will give her a chance and understand her fear.
She has become very bonded to me but really needs her own ‘furever’ person.

And last… but definitely, not least, my darling Tinkerbell💕🥰💕🥰

She is looking for a foster/hospice home. She is 12 years old and so much love to give. We will provide vet care while she’s in foster.

She goes everywhere with me and although she has many issues from her past life, she just wants to be loved.

She loves to nap by the fire, take teeny tiny walks, bark at the pack and share snacks!! My heart breaks to think of the life this little munchkin has lived.

So our cutest little munchkin Tillie (aka Sarah), headed off to foster with our dear friend Faith and her family.
Tillie is a very sweet little bundle of fun who just needs to gain some confidence with other people.
She loves to run zoomies, play with any furry friend that will oblige, and vacuum the floor for goodies.
At only 6 months old this little fluff ball has so much love to give💕
