We need to fill a very specific role, so we apologize if this isn't an opportunity for everyone, but we are a new business that needs to be strategic.
Now hiring:
Retail Associate with Equestrian background (any discipline)
$10-$13 per hour
Minimum of 2 shifts / 16 hours per week or full-time hours are available for the right candidate
Knightdale Horse Sports’ Store hours are changing to:
Mon/Tue/Wed 10am - 6pm
Thursday 10am - 7pm
Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 9am - 4pm
Sunday 1pm - 5pm
*Some weekend shifts required
*Employee discount on all goods and services
*Must be available for opening or closing hours (we cannot accommodate middle-of-the-day shifts like 11 - 3).
Ideal candidate:
Adult (over 18) with equestrian experience or a solid knowledge of horses, tack, and safety equipment. Horse adjacent candidates with retail experience will also be considered (i.e. you have horses in the family or you know what it takes to be an equestrian).
**Must be able to provide world class customer service and have a customer first focus**
This position requires standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, bending, reaching, sitting and general physical fitness. A candidate must be able to demonstrate how to properly fit a helmet, boots, and equestrian clothing or the ability to learn how and replicate the process during a working interview. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to be there for our customers when they trust Knightdale Horse Sports for their retail equestrian needs.
There is room for growth at KHS or this can be a side gig for someone. We need consistent shifts covered each week, but can also be flexible. Shifts do not need to be 8 hours, but need to be at least 4 hours and either opening, closing, or weekend shifts on a consistent basis. You also need to feel comfortable running the store on your own which can happen from time to time.
