Hedgelaying is the process of bending and partially cutting (pleaching) through the stems of a line of shrubs or small trees near ground level and arching the stems without breaking them, so they can grow horizontally.’

If a hedge is layed and maintained property, it will last up to 50 years. It’ll stay thick and bushy, providing deer proof barrier, which we gardeners really appreciate.

If you decide to plant and lay a hedge, it’ll take quite some time until you can really enjoy it, but the reward will be great.

Y'all. This is what you call permaculture legs. 🤣 🤷 Between the poison ivy, bruises, and mosquitos, I'm getting beat up by our little urban farm.
But this food forest isn't going to plant itself and it's going to be SO WORTH IT! 🙌
