Yesterday, I donated my time and morning to go back to Sevier Animal Care Center to groom two young mama dogs that had been brought in by Animal Control. It broke my heart to see the conditions these dogs were in. My assistant Deanna Surber and I diligently worked on them to shave off the mats while giving them love, affection, and Reiki. By the end of the session, these two neglected dogs were wagging their tails and smiling afterwards.

Sevier Animal Care Center is completely full. They cannot accept any more dogs in until the ones that are there are adopted. Please consider going there to adopt your next pet or making a donation to them.

I always get asked what the ‘healing’ part in my business name means. I’ll do my best to explain…

I have seen and heard about a lot of pups who haven’t had a good experience in a grooming salon. Not just in a grooming setting, but also in life in general. Dogs are some of the most loyal creatures on this planet. When trust is broken, especially with them, it takes a long time for them to regain it with anyone. They tend to hold onto that trauma much longer than we do.

As I interact with and groom them, I’m building a trust with them as well. Some are receptive and some just aren’t ready for it.
I have had some dogs that went from being aggressive while grooming, to being cooperative. Their broken trust with the grooming process is slowly restored over time.

I don’t rush my appointments. I take my time getting to know them and their personalities. Once we’re established, the process goes a little smoother each time.

STRICT AND ENFORCED CANCELLATION POLICY EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1ST:

If you cancel 24 hours or less before your appointment, you be charged the full amount for your grooming. I understand that life happens, but I can't easily fill that spot with someone else.
Yes, a credit card will now be required for booking appointments.
