Everyone please share! Raven and Crow are now available for adoption!

These sweet ladies are 6 months old (Born on Halloween 2021) and are bonded to one another. They enjoy interacting with people, taking treats, and stealing dog toys!! Raven loves to give kisses and Crow loves to snuggle up in a hoodie, watch netflix and steal popcorn.

These girls would do well for a first time rat owner, or someone looking to grow their ratto family 💕

You guys we need help over here. 40 rabbits is the MINIMUM currently, before any give birth. We don't know what will happen to them if the rescues don't take them in. 😭 We need fosters URGENTLY, even if you can only commit to one.

So far there are only three rescues including Franklin's Home, Foxy Family, and Operation Bun Bun (who is taking the brunt of this) who've stepped up to help. We all need hay, pellets, litter, litterboxes, xpens, bowls, and most importantly we need monetary donations to cover the mountain of vetting these rabbits will need. The rescue will provide all supplies needed and even help you set up!!

If you are interested in fostering, adopting, or donating, please let us know! If you are unable to help at this time please share so we can get this to people who can!

The latest crisis:

We have a hobby breeder needing to surrender her entire stock immediately. IMMEDIATELY.

AT LEAST 15 adults and 30 babies. This is assuming none are currently pregnant. We might have room for 4? We will receive a final count tomorrow afternoon.

Other rescues in the area are also scrambling to get as many open spaces as possible. We have lionheads, flemish giants, and lops coming in. I cannot attach pictures of them at this time. WE NEED HELP

If you or anyone you know has extra small animal cages, dog cages of any size, or dog pens even just to let us borrow for 6 months maximum, PLEASE LET US KNOW!!! Monetary donations are also appreciated so we can buy these supplies.

Everyone say Hi to Cheddar.

Cheddar is a male betta fish who was surrendered last night. A was purchased a birthday present IN MARCH and has lived in this cup ever since. A caring human stepped in and brought him to us. This beautiful boy is in rough shape.

Cheddar is available for adoption immediately for experienced betta fish keepers ONLY. His adoption fee is zero, with a donation in any amount.

Please help us spread this message....It is a crime to abandon a pet. Contact a rescue or shelter, follow their regulations and surrender responsibly.

This bundle of cuteness was abandoned and dumped today.

After our director Haylee and Kellie of Operation Bun Bun Rescue spent the entire evening chasing her down, this little thought they were playing a game, and have sooo much fun. Haylee and Kellie were not. Regardless, she is now caught and safe here at Franklin's Home. Once her legal stray hold is up, we will begin the vetting process. If you recognize this rabbit, PLEASE let us know.

There is still one more rabbit, that our volunteers and directors will be going back for tomorrow. Please don't dump your animals.

Trust me, a rescue will happily have you surrender your pets to us, if it means we do NOT have to spend hours trying to catch the rabbit you dumped. 🙃

OWNER FOUND. REUNITED

This bean was found earlier this evening in Maryville, and is currently being kept safe here at the rescue in Knoxville!

This pup is well groomed, clean, well kept nails, and was wearing a collar. This tells us something is missing this dog! He is currently very confused and nervous, but he is quite loving and friendly.

If you are this baby's owner or believe you know who is please contact us immediately. You must be able to answer correctly some basic questions.

Let's get this baby home!

Just a reminder dumping animals is illegal, even if you are leaving the animal on the steps of a rescue.

This sweet girl was left on our rescue steps yesterday. She was abandoned in the cold & rain, without shelter, food or water, and was terrified. She has since had a vet check. This tiny bundle of cuteness is extremely emaciated but should recover.

She isn't available for adoption yet. Hopefully, she'll be posted soon & can find her forever family. If anyone can help with vet bills, please use the link on our page or direct message us.

Thanks for spreading the word that abandonment is illegal and for your support.

We are in need of tanks! Does anyone have a old tank they no longer need or use?

Here is our list that we are needing for an incoming surrender group. Foster parents are also needed for small critters, and dog/cat foster parent!

- 4 ten gallon tanks
-2 twenty gallon tanks
-lids for all

Tanks could even be returned once animals are adopted!

One thing we always do when a new dog is surrendered, is get them a new collar. For us, this symbolizes a fresh, happy start!

Everyone please welcome Phoenix💕

Phoenix is a 2 year old German Shepherd. She is good with dogs and cats, but prefers to meet all potential family members beforehand. She rides well in the car, loves to explore the fenced yard and loves affection! She is fully crate trained, and housetrained!

Our pups come fully vetted:
-Spayed
-Heartworm prevention
-Flea/tick prevention
-De-wormed
-Da2pp, bordatella, and Lepto vaccines
-Rabies vaccine
-microchipped

She will be available for pre-adoption tomorrow, but she will not go home until she has completed her basic training and all vetting!

Rescue life never stops! We got a call around 10pm last night from a fellow rescue team of an orphaned bean who needed a mommy and possibly to be tube fed. Luckily, we have a Mom here so they brought her right away!

This little bean was cold, very small, and refusing bottle feeding. We all were immediately worried about fading kitten syndrome.. thank goodness our mama cat Sara took to this baby immediately! Within seconds she began cleaning her, and baby was nursing! We stayed up with her all night to make sure she continued nursing, and she did until this morning. For her most recent feeding she wasn't very enthusiastic, so we did go ahead and tube feed her. We rather stay pro-active than wait until it's an emergency! We are hopeful a good mama is the cure for this sweet bean!

Archer
2009 - April 6, 2022

It is with the heaviest heart that I share with you all, the Rainbow Bridge gained an incredible angel. Archer passed away peacefully in his sleep early this morning.

Archer was an incredibly sweet, kind, handsome soul and everyone here at the rescue is incredibly grateful for the time that we were able to spend, and get to know him. He the short time Arch was here, he was able to play, and explore, and go for walks, all of which he absolutely loved getting to do. While I am absolutely devastated, and heartbroken by this unexpected loss, we know that he spent his final days happy, knowing exactly how loved by many he is. He reigned as king of the porch, his favorite past time was watching the puppies play, and wrestle. And in the front yard, he would even join them. His brothers, Mike and Chandler, as equally as devastated by his passing. These sweet puppies have been searching for Archer since we returned home without him.

While it is an unfortunate relationship, we have a long term relationship with Resthaven Pet Cemetery, and know without a doubt they will be taking the best care of Archer. He will be returning home to us in spirit. 💔

Please hug your furry babies a little longer tonight, I know we will.

Archer update, PLEASE SHARE: this sweet boy needs a specialized heart scan tomorrow that will cost $320 dollars, after over $400 in vet costs today. If anyone is able to help us with this unexpected cost, please let me know! Even if you can donate even $1 it helps!! This is just the cost of the test, we are expecting further expenses for medications and follow ups, too.

Heading to our second vet appointment of the day with Archer. First one was not good news, so we've been sent to a specialist for further tests.
