Just ignore the bags under my eyes.. it’s fine. Just changed bedding. A good nights sleep hasn’t happened much, but the puppy breath is so worth. It is not easy work, it’s very laboring mentally, emotionally, and physically. It can be so rewarding, and traumatic at the same time.
I wish more people understood that. There’s much more behind the cute pictures and cuddles. Mostly cleaning up p**p.

My days go into raising these future family members to be well rounded and sound-minded dogs along with so much more. We strive to help them become more confident and prepared to take the next steps towards being a well trained family member.

Still.. they do not come prewired to behave.
They will bite.
They will bark.
They will p*e.
They will test you.
They will show you where they need guidance.
Listen to your dog.
Set yourself up for success with your puppy.

Use a trainer, ask us for advice.
Plan your sessions and goals.
Work for meals and set boundaries from the start.
Btw- They are not “gentle giants”.

Rant aside, there hasn’t been a day I don’t think of a dog we have sent to their family. Each one from birth to now… I’ve seen grow, and we knew them like the back of our hands. They each have their own personalities. I knew which once were dramatic, which ones would be trouble makers, as each litter had their tendencies. Faults. Strengths. Ones I wish I didn’t let go.

I see similarities in their parents. It is surreal to see little things passed onto their children. Their eyes, their bark, their stubbornness. The weird quirks each dog has.

It’s been such a nice pause to take our time while raising these babies. I mean it. Regardless of the many loads of laundry, sleepless nights, and lack of a social life. I enjoy the ability to just watch them grow and look eagerly into the future.

This year we are taking a breather, and moving our focus onto our next generation, and a new breed, along with assisting other breeders and families with their puppies.

We appreciate the support and relationships we have built with every current and future puppy owner. We look forward to getting updates and hearing how everyone is doing. We are always excited to see them grow up with you.

Just don’t forget we loved them first and always will.
