We want to thank Karns Middle School for inviting us to their 8th grade career fair yesterday! We loved getting to share all about veterinary medicine, fear free handling, and the different paths available to animal (and science!) lovers. It was a great event and Dr Cuthbert, Kierstyn, Amanda, and most importantly Poseidon 🐶 had a blast meeting the students and faculty.

Happy Vet Tech Week!
To finish out the week, we want to introduce our other licensed technician, Betty!

Betty has been a valuable part of the HVAH team since 2015. Betty shares her home with countless quail, chickens, her hound Journey, and her cats Orachi, Purrcius, Lilith, and Circe When not taking care of her many furry and feathered friends, Betty is an avid hiker, forager, baker, and crafter. If you're lucky, you'll see her selling her goods at a once monthly market here in Knoxville!!

At Hardin Valley, Betty is referred to as our "Cat Queen", able to read and understand even the spiciest kitties, collect samples, and provide gold standard care for our feline friends.

Happy Vet Tech Week! We want to take a moment to introduce our fantastic team of licensed veterinary technicians, starting with Danielle!

Danielle graduated from tech school in 2018, and has been an integral part of the Hardin Valley Team since 2021! She shares her home with Noa, her chocolate lab, and Clarabell, her Cardigan Corgi, and Mosephine "Momo", her tabby cat. You will often find Danielle in our surgical suite, helping monitor and care for anesthetized patients, or helping collect samples for our most challenging patients. She is also seen saying hello to every corgi patient that comes to see us! When not at work, Danielle enjoys spending time walking her dogs, golfing, playing tennis, and reading.

Thank you to everyone who donated for the hurricane victims. Because of yall, we were able to help staff and animals get back to their livelihood after their clinic was flooded from 4 feet of water. Some donations were also given to an animal shelter that was completely destroyed with nothing able to be salvaged. We couldn't be more thankful for our little community 🥰🐾

We are SO grateful for our Hardin Valley family and all of the donations that we have gathered so far!

We are still in need of cleaning supplies, paper towels, bowls, and basic office supplies! After reaching out today, we discovered that some hospitals and shelters lost absolutely everything- down to their office pens.

We will be accepting donations for another week and they can be dropped off at the clinic anytime between 8am and 6pm. 🐾

We are collecting donations to aid shelters and animal hospitals supporting the victims of Hurricane Helene!

We are looking to collect supplies to be distributed directly to the shelters and animal hospitals dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Donations can be brought to our hospital at 10017 Hardin Valley Rd Knoxville TN. ALL donations are appreciated.

Some ideas include food/water dishes, cat litter, dog/cat food, chew toys, enrichment items, and treats.

Please only bring unopened food items.

We love our Hardin Valley Community and look forward to providing aid to those affected by this natural disaster!

Tomorrow is Client Appreciation Day 2024!!!

As of right now, we still plan on having some outside activities. In the event that it is raining, we will move everything entirely inside the building.

Bring your pets in costumes for the costume contest! We hope to see you all there!

One of the staff pets (responds to Teddy) escaped the yard this morning and still has not been found. He was last seen in the Cedar Bluff area on Sky Blue Lane off Middlebrook Pike.
