!!!ADOPTION EVENT TODAY!!

We’re kicking off the weekend early with an adoption event TODAY at the Petsmart on Morrell Road. We’ll be there from 12-5 with felines ready and waiting to head to their forever homes. A trio that we’d love to see adopted this weekend is Maine c**n mix sisters Magpie and Marble and their black and white brother Zeke. These three were adopted as small kittens but returned when their family had a change in living arrangements. Admittedly, they were completely shut down when they arrived and we weren’t sure how to make them more comfortable. Now Marble and Magpie are a bit more social, head butting you when you pet them and even coming out of their beds. Poor Zeke is still not doing well, and we hope to get them settled into their forever home ASAP! If you’re interested in meeting them, come out to see us today! Can’t make it today? We’ll be back TOMORROW from 10-5 and SUNDAY from 11-3. And you can always apply to adopt on our website at feralfelinefriends.org.

Did you ever meet someone who had a stern resting er, um, "grump" face, almost seeming unapproachable, but then when you get to know them you realize how sweet they are? Well if that person were a cat, they would be Blisskit. One-year-old Blisskit has that natural judgmental look, but you soon realize it's just a look masking her sweet personality. Beautiful Blisskit is all about the pets, purrs, and cuddles. Blisskit was rescued when she was dumped at a feral colony we had previously helped with TNR. The feeders called us immediately asking for help with this skinny girl. After a bath and additional "spa" treatments, Blisskit has made herself at home with a foster letting us know she prefers the inside life with a readily available warm lap. Blisskit has done well with the other cats in her foster home, but she hasn’t met dogs or kids yet. We think she’d be fine with little humans, though. She’ll be making her adoption event debut this SATURDAY from 10-5, so come out to the Petsmart on Morrell Road to meet her then. Can’t wait until the event? Apply to adopt her now at feralfelinefriends.org and get a jumpstart on the process!

Morgan and Petros are 10-week-old siblings who love to play. They especially love playing with one of those feathers on a string. They could play with that thing for hours!
Short-haired, gray tabby Morgan is the more outgoing of the two. She loves people and is constantly purring. She will cuddle with you for a short bit but then it’s off to the next adventure. Black and white fuzzy Petros is super fluffy and handsome, but he’s a little shy. He’s still getting used to people, but he’s definitely coming out of his shell at his foster home and is now coming up to his foster mom and asking for pets! Both Morgan and Petros will do best in an adoptive home with another playful kitten or cat. Don’t have another cat? Why not take home both? They really do make the perfect pair! You can apply to adopt them at feralfelinefriends.org.

Short-haired sister Kona and her long-haired sister Koko were rescued during a TNR operation at a local cat colony. We originally thought they were both feral even as three-month-old kittens, but Kona started crying in the trap. Fun fact: ferals usually don’t make a peep when they’re in a trap and just want to be left alone. We suspected they may actually be tame and just frightened, so off to a foster home the went. It turns out they are the only two cats in the entire colony that tamed down! Koko is the sweetest purr machine who is going to grow into a fluffy Maine Coon-type cat. She loves to be petted, which will come in handy with that beautiful fur! Kona is a friendly girl too who has grow to love air conditioning, comfy beds, and gourmet wet cat food meals! While they’re not bonded, we’d love to see Koko and Kona go home together. These sisters make the perfect pair! You can apply to adopt them at feralfelinefriends.org.

One-year-old Skunki Nevada is finally making her adoption event debut this SATURDAY from 10-5 at the Petsmart on Morrell Road, but she’s had a long road to get here. Skunki came to her foster momma’s house super pregnant and after just being sprayed by a skunk. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The poor girl had been dumped and was trying to make it on her own… unsuccessfully. A couple days later, Skunki had SEVEN KITTENS. She was the absolute best momma ever, but four of her kittens passed at two weeks old from distemper. Skunki stuck it out and raised her other three kittens (who are also up for adoption!), and now that they’re big enough to be adopted themselves, she’s hoping to start enjoying retirement. Skunki is a super, SUPER social girl who loves people. When she greets you, Skunki puts her paws on your shoulders and rubs her drooly cheek on yours. At a year old, she’s still practically a kitten herself and loves a good catnip toy. Skunki isn’t thrilled with other cats, although she does well with felines that steer clear. She LOVES dogs, though! Skunki likes to give little love bites when she gets overstimulated, so older kiddos would be fine. Interested in adopting the best momma cat ever? Apply to adopt Skunki Nevada at feralfelinefriends.org and come see her this weekend!

🎶Phil E’s back! Back again! Phil E’s back! Tell a friend!🎶

Two-year-old Phil E Cheesesteak is back for another shot at his forever home! Phil is very energetic and curious, something the cats in his previous home weren’t. Phil will do best in a hustle and bustle kind of home where there is always something going on! He is extremely affectionate to people and cannot wait to get up in your face for some love. He has no boundaries when it comes to other animals either and will quickly try to start wrestling and play fighting. Sometimes that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, so he may do best with younger cats with energy to match him or as an only cat. Phil truly is the best friend you’ve been looking for to join your daily adventures! Apply to adopt him now at feralfelinefriends.org!

!!!CATS FOR HIRE!!!

Did you know that FFF has a barn cat program? It’s true - we do! What’s a barn cat? We sometimes run across cats that aren’t interested in the indoor life and would rather spend their days working. These cats use their natural instincts to help control rodent populations and prevent other pests from moving in on your territory. Cats are the safest way to provide pest control without the use of traps or pesticides making your home safer for kids and other pets! And the best part - you’re also helping your community by providing a much needed home to an otherwise homeless cat. Do you have a barn or outdoor area that could use some environmentally safe pest control? If so, send us an email to [email protected] or send us a PM through our socials. We’ll get some info over to you about our program. We provide everything including spayed/neutered, vaccinated cats - you just provide food, water and shelter. Help us put more cats to work!

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Our mission is to protect the welfare of cats, and to promote the humane treatment and well-being of these animals by providing a humane/cost effective alternative to euthanasia through TNR, ongoing managed care of cats, and the adoption of tame cats/kittens, through our home based foster care program and PetSmart adoption fairs. This decreases the number of cats that are euthanized at our local Animal Shelters every year. Mentor on how to trap cats, Provide information on no-cost and low-cost spay/neuter agencies Promote community awareness of the responsible care and treatment of animals. Educate the public regarding the plight of stray/feral cats, and the need to spay/neuter and microchip pets. Support feral cat caretakers and gain recognition of the beneficial role they perform. Assist the public with trap-neuter-return for stray and free roaming cats.

Target demographics: TNRF feral/stray/community cats , rehoming the tame cats/kittens to loving homes
