Agree! I have observed that context plays a role in a number of behaviors in addition to aggression.

Aggression is context driven...your dog may be fine in one situation and worried in another.

This is a position statement by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists regarding inhumane training methods by some dog trainers. This statement mentions a specific trainer. This is unprecedented by our college but a step justified by this individualโ€™s wide media exposure. There are many other trainers that use similar methods and the comments in this statement apply to all harsh and inhumane training methods.

This is a tragedy. I sometimes receive push back and rolled eyes when I caution about safety measures of especially family dogs around children. Please do not be lulled into a false sense of security just because your dog is not a Pit Bull dog. Any dog, any breed has an inherent risk factor and their tolerance and good nature should not be taken for granted or challenged. The details of this recent tragedy and what might have been done differently are unknown or havenโ€™t been released. What is known is that no infants or young children are safe in the presence of dogs without direct, constant supervision not even for a millisecond, because that is about how quickly aggression can occur.

Officials say two young children died and their mother was hospitalized after two family dogs attacked them at their home in Tennessee

ITS CATURDAY!

Most cats have boxes which are too small. Your cat's box should be at least 1.5 times the length of your cat.

This box has high sides. If your cat has arthritis or pain, get a box with lower sides.

*SOLD*

I have 16 of these vinyl basket muzzles. IMO, they are the best both for in clinic and at home use. They are comfortable, allow panting and also allow giving treats when used during behavior modification training. I recommend training dogs to put their own snouts in the muzzles using treats desensitization. The ones I have all have the fast-n-easy nylon quick straps. Selling at a deep discount below retail(see chart below). Also see chart for sizes for breeds.
I have sizes #10 (2) $12 each, #9 (3) $11 each, #8 (1) $10, #5 (1) $8.50, #4 (4) $8.00 each, #3 (3) 7.00 each, or all of the for $100
