☀️ With the summer, unfortunately, this is a REAL possibility. Check out our recent post that has tips for walking your dog during the summer.

We would NEVER wish this on anyone, but if you think you may need to go to the vet here are some signs your intuition is right.

1️⃣ Refusing to walk or limping

2️⃣ Licking or chewing at the feet

3️⃣ Pads darker in color

4️⃣ Missing part of the pad

5️⃣ Blisters or redness

🚨 PRO TIP: ALWAYS check the pavement with your hand! If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog!

☀️ Hot Pavement = Ouch for Paws! 🐾

If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Asphalt can burn your dog’s feet in seconds during summer heat.

👣 Walk early in the morning or late in the evening
🌳 Stick to grass or shaded paths
🧊 Keep those paws safe and cool!
