T.J., Hank, Cash, and Rogue are all ready for the Fourth of July parade in Farragut to begin! We’re helping promote dog days at Village Green and for the first time Dog Daze will be be hosting dueling dogs on Friday, August 15! As usual, dockdogs will be there on Saturday and Sunday!

Our hearts are broken to hear about the passing of Maggie. Michael Anthony and Maggie have been members of SMDD for a long time and Maggie just had her retirement jump at Summer on Broadway a couple of weekends ago. You will be missed, Maggie! Go fly high over the bridge, sweet girl! 🌈 🐾

From set up to tear down, we had an amazing time this past weekend Summer on Broadway! This was our 10th year at this event and it just keeps getting better! We were at a different site this year and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations! Maryville showed up! The volunteers were amazing and we can’t wait for next year! We can’t thank our sponsors enough…Kurgo and Blount Partnership!

We want to officially introduce one of our sponsors for our 10th anniversary at Summer on Broadway today and tomorrow!

Kurgo is one of our sponsors of the event and graciously donated some products for our finalists! We’re looking forward to having them there this weekend! Come check out their booth!

And as always, we will be having Try-Its at noon today. If you wanna see if your dog can dock dive, bring them down! We will have club members there helping out and giving tips from 12-2 and the competition begins at 2 PM! You can register on site!

New rules for Lap Dogs!

🚨 NEW POLICY ALERT for Lap Dogs! 🐶📏

We’ve introduced a new Lap Dog Measurement Policy for all pups under 2 years old! 🐾✨

📌 Here’s what you need to know:

🐕‍🦺 All Lap Dogs must be measured at DockDogs® events to receive their official Height Card / Certificate.

📝 The Height Card will be issued after 3 staff-signed measurements are recorded:

After the dog turns 2 years old 🗓️ OR after 2 years of DockDogs® competition experience 🏆

✅ Once your pup has a completed Height Card, no more measurements are needed — they’re all set for future events! 🎉

📍 Until then (before age 2 or 2 years of competition in DockDogs® events), your Lap Dog may need to be measured at each event they attend. 🔁

🐾 Lap Dogs over 2 years old do NOT need to be measured once a height card has been acquired. 🙌

🐶 All Lap Dogs must be measured at the World Championship.

🐕Let’s keep things official and fair for all our furry athletes! 💙

‼️🚨If you are coming to Summer on Broadway and competing in dockdogs, please note that we are at a different location this year.

If you’re familiar with where the barbecue trucks have been in the past, that’s the location.

We have the entire parking lot (Founder’s Square 2003 E. Broadway) and you can work from your vehicle. Please try to avoid arriving on the Broadway side. They will let you in, but they will have to move the barricade. Let’s just try to avoid that though and enter on the Church Ave side. If you put in 300 E. Church Ave which is Dandy Lions Gifts, hopefully it will get you to that side of the parking lot and get you into our entrance.
