Ruff Start Rescue of East TN is now 865 Rescue and Rehome. This was done to avoid confusion with a similiar named rescue.

Ok all our Facebook p*eps! We have 12 dogs in rescue with mom and 8 more puppies coming in real soon! And we have received 5. YES 5 new request for owner surrenders. We are full, beyond full with only 4 fosters! We need more fosters to help these dogs who are no longer wanted or can no longer be cared for by current owners. If you have ever thought about fostering. Now is the time. We are in crisis mode, with all other shelters and rescues! HELP IF YOU CAN! Please reach out if you have the room and heart to foster!

Another pupdate with some great news! Took our Charlie back to cardiologist today in Nashville for 6 month check up and his heart muscle has thinned on his medication and while he will always have a heart condition and be on meds his entire life, the great news is he went from a very short life expectancy to a full life with the medicine! The adopters are thrilled! And so are we! Thanks to HELPING PAWS ANIMAL NETWORK, for helping us with the very expensive vet bills on this little guy! He went from a very short life to a full life!!!! This is why we do this!
