tles for the sire before a breeding will take place. We are located in upland bird country, the heartland of Iowa only 40 miles south of Des Moines, next to Lake Red Rock. We have over 35 years of experience hunting with Labrador Retrievers, breeding, and performing hunt tests and field trials in the APLA and AKC. Our comprehensive breeding program is designed to produce a very intelligent pet for the home that is easy to train and will perform at the highest level for companionship, hunting and pointing birds. Here is Trigger smelling birds in a corn strip. I had hard time keeping him away. I hate corn. Cool thing in other pic is can see Trigger about 6’ from bird. He lives for pheasant hunting. He likes his water duck hunting too but not as much as pheasant. We getting hammered with snow. It projected 9-14” today and will be 18-20” for the week. Grizz and Sugar pups rock! People love Trigger. A person got a 31” tail today too over Trigger. Both guys had 20g

Iowa Pointing Labs Mia

Mia is going into our Headstart plus program this week. She will be housebroken and potty trained learning to stay quiet at night. She will be clicker trained to Sit, Kennel and Retrieve.

She will be exposed to live birds and the 209 cap gun fire.

Mia has a amazing personality she’s picks up things very fast in the head start + already!

“Update on Roxy. She has a strong point and won't break until I say "Rox". She is growing like a w**d and has been a joy to work and play with.”

Iowa Pointing Labs Rain

She has been in the Head Start Plus program for a week and has done amazing.

She’s doing great at staying quiet at night and going to the bathroom outside. She loves to retrieve birds to hand and already pointing at 9 weeks old!!! Hint the the second picture.

She doesn’t have any reaction to the gun fire she’s really focused on getting the bird.
Rain is doing great on the leash and learning all her commands.

Iowa Pointing Labs Buck

Buck has finshed the Head Start Program. He know's how to Sit, Kennel, Retrieve and has been exposed to gunfire 209 cap-gun live birds and hunting with older dogs that will teach him the way in the field.

Buck is going to be a great companion in the field, and also in the home he's amazing around kids and other dogs. He has a great personiltly.

Iowa Pointing Labs Rocky is doing great and his owner sent us the details and we wanted to share them. He wrote this.
Hi Tim,

It's been awhile. Hope all is well with you,

Rocky is an unbelievable dog. Last fall pheasant hunting was incredible. He picked up the game effortlessly. What stands out to me is his motor. I've never seen a dog that doesn't quit like him. Temps were nice and cool but he wouldn't tire. As soon as we're ready to hunt he's all business.

He's beginning to point more and more. Just had him on some leftover chukars from a field trial last weekend.

However, last fall in North Dakota, we hunted thick cover and he learned he had to chase to flush the birds. Not many opportunities to point and have us walk up and shoot.

Lots of fun. Can't say enough about his intelligence and drive.

Tex 12/30/21 APR CPR JH Iowa Pointing Labs Sally X 4XGMPR CPR APR Iowa Pointing Labs Martin Tex is a very happy-go-lucky outgoing boy, he loves to cuddle up for a belly rub, but his favorite thing is to be out in the field. He completed the headstart program as a puppy and was kept back for our started dog program. He quarters a field well, and locks up on a solid point. He’s whoa broke, so he’ll hold point until you get in there and kick up the bird, then go out and retrieve the downed bird to hand. He is also collar conditioned to his basic commands to kennel and here. Tex is out of an impressive breeding: Sally is a very intelligent, quick learning dog she was trained and titled by a 13 year old, and has a bird drive that’s hard to match! Marty has his 4XGMPR and is out of the Roman line. He’s very efficient in working a field and has a very strong, staunch point. He produces very loving family dogs as well as upland and duck hunters. Introducing Casper! 1/17/22 4XGMPR CPR APR Iowa Pointing Labs Martin X Iowa Pointing Labs Lexus (Tex line) Casper is currently in our started dog program and has completed his CPR level training. Just like his dad Marty (out of the Roman line) he’s got that calm, gentle, focused personality. This is a unique breeding that combines the Tex and Roman line! He can work a field efficiently, and lock up on a solid point, but then go home and chill on the couch after a good days hunt. Smokey’s first mock bird hunt, he did amazing quartering and sniffing out those feathers! And brought that frozen pigeon in for a hand delivery. He’s doing great on sit, kennel, and place. He sleeps 8 hours through the night in his crate without a peep, and is such a playful, confident, and spunky little man! He’s good with 209 primer gunfire, vaccums, and other household noises. He’ll be ready to go home anytime after tomorrow, but we’re not wasting any time while waiting for his new family! We’ll be doing more little bird hunts, and work on him staying longer on “place” he took to it like a champ and is a quick learner! Cash (Bear X Brownie) has completed our started dog program and is looking for his new hunting buddy for this season! Cash is a great-looking young Labrador with a ton of drive to hunt and retrieve birds. He will be a phenomenal companion as well as a gun dog. He went through clicker training as a pup. He has formal obedience here, sit, whoa, and kennel commands done. He quarters well, holds point, retrieves to hand, and loves the water!
