As the situation worsens in Ukraine, local animal rescue groups are able to do less and less to help animals in need, making outside help essential. Fondazione Capellino (the nonprofit organization that owns Almo Nature) has been working to provide aid to Ukrainian animal rescue groups.
Currently, relief supplies and volunteers can only enter Ukraine through official humanitarian corridors. The Foundation has partnered with Italian animal rights group, LAV which has been running convoys from Italy to the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. Almo Nature emergency food has been loaded onto vans and the convoy will make the 12- to 15-hour drive to the border where they will hand over the supplies to volunteers from Ukrainian animal shelters.
Many shelters, particularly in Kyiv, have become overwhelmed and are running out of space for rescued cats and dogs. To help alleviate the situation, they will bring animals to the convoy for transport back to Italy where they will be taken in by local shelters.
This will be an ongoing effort and the Foundation is working with other European organizations to expand its support and aid to the people, cats and dogs of Ukraine.

À mesure que la situation s'aggrave en Ukraine, les groupes locaux de sauvetage des animaux sont de moins en moins en mesure d'aider les animaux dans le besoin, ce qui rend l'aide extérieure indispensable. La Fondazione Capellino (l'organisation à but non lucratif propriétaire d'Almo Nature) s'efforce actuellement de venir en aide aux groupes ukrainiens de sauvetage des animaux.
Actuellement, les fournitures de secours et les volontaires ne peuvent entrer en Ukraine que par les couloirs humanitaires officiels. La Fondation s'est donc associée à LAV, une association italienne de défense des animaux, qui organise des convois depuis l'Italie vers la frontière hongro-ukrainienne. De la nourriture d'urgence d'Almo Nature a été chargée dans des camionnettes et le convoi fera le trajet de 12 à 15 heures jusqu'à la frontière où il remettra les fournitures aux bénévoles des refuges pour animaux ukrainiens.
De nombreux refuges, notamment à Kiev, sont débordés et manquent de place pour accueillir les chats et les chiens secourus. Pour aider à remédier à cette situation, ils apporteront des animaux au convoi, qui les ramènera en Italie, où ils seront pris en charge par des refuges locaux.
Il s'agit d'un effort continu et la Fondation travaille avec d'autres organisations européennes pour étendre son soutien et son aide aux personnes, aux chats et aux chiens d'Ukraine.
