So you watched Monty win Best in Show at Westminster and you're wondering where to get a Giant Schnauzer puppy?
Unfortunately, there are too many breeders out there who put profit over good breeder practices. Good Giants come from responsible breeders...
• They prove their dogs in conformation or performance competitions
• They health test their dogs before deciding to breed
• They plan every litter with a goal to improve the breed – never just to create puppies to sell
• They support their puppy owners through every issue and question for the life of the dog
• They will always take back any dog they produced
Visit the GSCA website for more information including a list of over 50 breeders who are also GSCA members. Reach out to one in your area. While they may not have a puppy available, they will gladly teach you about the breed and help connect you with a responsible breeder.

You will also find breed health information and a great set of interview questions to ask any breeder if you decide that a Giant is the right breed for you.

Yes, that is Monty as a puppy in the photo. His breeder is Cheryl Ambrose (Hearthmore Giant Schnauzers), and yes, she is one of the wonderful and responsible breeders you will find on the GSCA site.
