I've been wanting a black dapple SLBNK TJD7 BLACKSTONE (National Grand Champion Buck 2023) for a while and finally found him. As an added bonus, he is out of a JAD SRB RUGAR'S EVOLUTION *ENNOBLED* doe!

Meet KR5 RAPTOR. This 10 week old buck has everything I was looking for. Especially that freaking long BLACKSTONE neck and big roman head.

Can hardly wait for him to get here and to get him in some shows next year!

I think he will be the perfect outcross to the CROOKED S N03 LETHAL WEAPON and 7KY CROOKED S RHINESTONE COWBOY doe kids I keep back! I cannot wait to cross him on the BOERDERLINE'S DECISION MADE doelings I kept back from this spring!

Love me a good colored buck! 🤩

Not the post I was hoping to make, but unfortunately BDLF BOERDERLINE'S DECISION MADE passed away today. He gave a good fight but he was just to emaciated and sick for his body to keep going.

Makes me beyond sad to know this was his fate but so happy I got the last few days with him to love him.

Update on BDLF BOERDERLINE'S DECISION MADE .

He has a lot more energy and a brighter look in his eye today! He is also eating like a champ! When I went in to doctor him and give him his feed, he almost knocked me down running to get to the bucket before I could pour some in his feeder.

Very hopeful this is a good sign and we are headed in the right direction! 🤞

UPDATE 11/29: Well, he made it through the night. Seemed to feel a bit better today than yesterday. He is eating hay really well. Loving his 3rd cutting alflafa. Ive also started him on a small amount of feed today. I didn't want to offer to much and upset his stomach. I also have a pressed protein/mineral block in with him that he is really enjoying. I think we are headed in the right direction but not out of the woods. Going to continue supportive care meds. P*e and p**p looks good so far. Taking a f***l in tomorrow to see what kind of worms we are dealing with or if it's just pure malnutrition.

Just checked him (at 8:30 pm) and he has ate a large portion of his hay, drank half of his water, and finished off his feed. He was laying in a nice, thick pile of straw chewing his cud. 🤞

So, I'm normally not the type to say much about private matters but this is the SECOND time in 2 months that I have bought a goat sight unseen and it has shown up in this condition.

The first one was a bred doe that I bought through DV Auction from a "very reputable" breeder. The doe died with in 48 hours of showing up. I was given a refund for her, but not because the seller was remorseful and offered after putting a sick, wormy heavy bred doe in a consignment sale but because I asked for one and also reached out to the sale organize...

I recently bought BDLF BOERDERLINE'S DECISION MADE back after the people who bought him from me decided to sell out.

The first three pictures are the condition he showed up in today. The last picture is the condition he was in when he left my possession.

He had a 2 day transport with Lippert's. I'm embarrassed that they even had to haul a goat in this condition and SHOCKED he even made the trip from Louisiana to Missouri.

I'm not a name and shame type of person but if you are going to have goats, or any species of animal for that matter, please TAKE CARE OF THEM.

I want to be hopeful that I can save this guy but he can't even get up without assistance. I'm absolutely heart broken as we love this guy and only sold him due to keep back 10 of his 2024 doelings and a buckling. I truly thought I sold him to a good home. I now worry about the health of the does that they bought from me and wonder if they made it out alive. 😔

Congratulations to Rylie Morrisett with CROOKED S P12 MIND YOUR BISCUITS (5 months old) who was Grand Champion Junior doe and Overall Grand Champion Breeding doe yesterday at the Clay County Fair!

Rylie and her family have been repeat customers for the last few years! I'm so happy to see her doing well with a Crooked S bred goat!

I love getting goats in the hands of 4-H and FFA kids and getting to watch them do well and become more confident showmen!

Due to recent events, I thought I'd share my perspective on goat husbandry.

These are our brood does. They live in a 15 acre pasture. They are in what we consider pasture/breeding condition.

They are fed a 16% protein/5% fat "goat ration" that's milled locally that costs 10$/bag. They get fed once a day. 18 lbs of feed to 10 adult does and 1 yearling buck.

No fancy show feeds. No gimmicky supplements. Just good Bermuda grass pastures, free choice loose mineral, mineral block, and Goatlyx at all times.

There is absolutely no excuse for a goat to be emaciated and say it is "just in pasture/breeding condition".

We like our goats hardy, parasite resistant, and easy keepers. If one can't live a healthy life at our farm due to the way we keep our goats and they require more care than all the others, I sell them to a farm that they can thrive at, not force them to live in an environment that doesn't suit their needs as an individual.

Just like with any other species of animal, if you can't or won't properly care for them... don't get them. It's not fair to them.

With that being said, I am more than happy to help guide anyone struggling to keep their goats in good flesh without pouring tons of grain down them!

The does I bought out of The Cowboy Classic sale got delivered last night and they are even better than I was expecting!

I was also pleasantly surprised to receive this beautiful 40 Oz cup for being the Volume Buyer at the sale! 🤩

10/10 recommend The Cowboy Classic if you are looking to add to your herd and want an awesome buying experience!

We have been looking for an elite black female to add to the farm and we finally found her! Bred and raised by Idlewind Boers in Athens TN!

Born 1/17/24, this doe has a big future ahead of her! She is going to be a beast! Hopefully, we can get her in the show ring soon!

Check out her sire and dam. Her sire is pending ENNOBLEMENT!!!

Well, now that we have a much larger ranch in southern Missouri, I figured I might as well add some more does back to the herd after cutting back due to space this spring.

We added these five adult does to the herd from the The Cowboy Classic sale today!

Two open does that we will be putting in with CROOKED S N03 LETHAL WEAPON and three that are exposed to 2M BOER GOATS SNOW AVALANCHE (last picture).

Super excited to utilize these does in our program!

I am officially grounding myself from buying anymore goats after adding six new does in less than a week. 😅

I just wanted to get on here and apologize for being MIA.

There has been a lot going on in my personal life.

We are also in the process of moving from Marmaduke AR to Koshkonong MO.

We will be doing out first embryo transfer this September and are very excited about that!

We will keep everyone updated on the process since it's a completely new experience for us and want to share as much information about it as we can for other people who might be interested in it but are intimidated by the thought of it!

Snapped a quick cell phone picture of our donor doe, CCB4 J197 ALL GOOSED UP FOR THE PARTY yesterday just hanging out in the pasture. We absolutely adore this doe.

We are hoping to try frozen semen from RRD AMERICAN DREAM in the flush but if not, she will either be flushed to 7KY CROOKED S RHINESTONE COWBOY (if he is tall enough to get the job done) or CROOKED S N03 LETHAL WEAPON.

I've had several people inquire about live coverage to BDLF BOERDERLINE'S DECISION MADE but were to far away to drive here and asked about semen. I've also had inquires about semen but we aren't releasing any straws on him at this time, however I do believe that Judd York does have straws available on him! Video of our big man from today!

Two days old and getting her legs figured out. Playing babies are my favorite part of raising goats! 🥰
