It’s Wisconsin we all know it’s going to get cold at one point 😅
Hope everyone stays warm out there!!

We have some happy horses and Betsy the goat in the barn munching happily on their hay and warm water.
They had most the day to warm up in the sun outside, still best to get them outside as much as possible☀️

The outdoor board horses are all doing as well with their full bales of hay!

Thank god for Ritchie waterers with warm water for them as well! 🤍

*don’t mind the messy barn the horses comfort and hay come first and rajah in her make shift pen so she didn’t have to be outside she’s a bit spoiled 😅

We have the pleasure of having
Girl Scout Troop 4288 out this weekend for the girls to earn their Horseback Riding Badge.

They got to learn all about taking care of horses, what a horse eats, the riding tack used, grooming the horses, and even got to ride each horse: Dawn, Rajah, and Dolly all were great for it!

They each got a book All About Horses to take home and study for their test 🙂
They all had a great time and were a great groups of young ladies 🐴🤍

Wear the damn helmet. All I’m going to say.

Last weekend I got into a pretty serious riding accident with Dawn my go to horse, my been there done that horse.
Long story short I fell off and my head/face/elbow slammed into the road.
We weren’t riding on the road that’s just where we ended up, she spooked, spun around and went scrambling up the side ditch and that’s when I came off on the road.

I will be okay I have 2 fractures in my elbow, my face is extremely swollen and bruised, my knee is swollen and I’m very very sore.
BUT I know if I didn’t have my helmet on it would been much much worse, it would have been my head cracked on the road instead of the helmet.

(It’s junk beside the crack in the back the whole
front has road rash as does my face, it needs to get tossed or hung on the wall as a reminder of what can happen.)

I will never not wear a helmet again and I almost didn’t that night but I am so thankful I did because I don’t know if I would’ve been so lucky.

Thanks to all my amazing husband who brought me to the ER and friends and family who have been helping while I recover.
I’m still trying to do and much as I can with only having one good arm but it definitely made me slow down. 😅

Excuse the language but famous quote from my brothers “f**k around and find out and I sure found out” also “I’m too old for this sh*t” that one’s from me lol

**Not posting for pity i will be fine, I made the choice to ride so it was my fault, just awareness for helmet safety!!**
