Update: Pluto found his forever home! Woohoo!

Pluto has been at our shelter since the beginning of August. He is our longest resident and we want him to find his forever home! He is an active boy that loves to go on walks and play in the yard. Pluto should do well with another friendly dog that shares his activity level but we would ask that any potential owner bring their dog to the shelter so we can do a proper introduction.

Help us find Pluto his forever home! This boy deserves the best!

Check out this quick & easy recipe for dog treats your pups are sure to love!

Ingredients:

1 sweet potato
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 large eggs
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Poke sweet potato several times with a fork and cook in the microwave on high for 5-6 minutes. Cut potato in half and scoop flesh into a bowl and discard skin. Mix one cup mashed sweet potato with whole wheat flour, eggs, and unsweetened applesauce until a dough forms. Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface and roll dough to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out shapes using a cookie cutter or cut dough into strips with a pizza cutter. Arrange cookies on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until crisp, 35 to 45 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.

We are excited to help with this fundraiser! Bring your pups to get chipped, nails trimmed or just buy a sweatshirt to help keep our Grand County Animal Shelter.

🐾❤️🐾 Head to Granby Ace Hardware to support Grand County Pet Pals on Saturday, September 2nd from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for hot dogs, spay/neuter vouchers, microchipping, nail trimming and a small agility course! 🐾❤️🐾

Pet Pals will have spay and neuter vouchers with $150 off vouchers for dogs for the first 15 people (limit 1 voucher per household; must be used within 30 days) and will have an unlimited amount of $75 off vouchers for cats. Granby Veterinary Clinic will be there microchipping for $15 (limit 25).
