First as always, I wanted to let each and every one of you to know how thankful I am to have such incredible clients and dogs! As I have said many times before, I wouldn’t be where I am today without your support and allowing me to be in your pup’s lives. We have now passed our 2-year mark of being open and have exceeded our expectations with how busy we are. With that being said, we will be keeping our schedule to a limited number of dogs a day, this is to ensure that I am not overworking my staff and myself. We have been working hard to get clients booked out several appointments, however we still have many clients to go. We are currently booking out to March/April. I am encouraging each of my clients to either contact myself @ (208) 447-7643 or my office manager Briana at (719) 660-2152 to get your pups booked through the summer of 2025. Dogs that are not pre-booked may no longer be able to be squeezed into our already booked schedule. We understand that not everyone has the ability to book out 6 months to a year in advance and we will do our best to let those clients know when the month their next appointment falls in is getting booked up. If you are contacted regarding an appointment, we ask that you respond within 24hrs as we no longer have the ability to hold appointment slots for an extended period of time. If you need to cancel/reschedule your pup’s appointment it is imperative that you let me know 48 hrs. (or more) in advance so that I can fill that spot.
As a 1 January 2025 no shows and less than 24hr cancellations will now be subject to a fee of 50% of the groom PER PET and 75% of the groom PER PET during the holidays. This fee will either be charged to the credit card we have on file or will need to be paid prior to the start of your pups next appointment. We understand that emergencies happen and will work with you when these kinds of things do come up, but not on a continued basis. A new disclaimer will need to be signed prior to your pet’s appointment. Please be respectful of our time as we are an appointment-based business and schedule our day and how many employees we need each day based off of the number of dogs we have scheduled for each day. Again, we know that life happens but a little communication can go a long way. We will have new hard copy acknowledgments resdy to sign starting in January.
We also have two very exciting announcements – first is that Rachel, who has been a bather with us for almost two years, has started apprenticing to be a groomer. She has started to take on some clients of her own and will also be assisting in grooming some of my clients as well under my supervision. Second, we will be offering 8:00 am appointments - so if this is something you are interested in please let us know.
In addition, we will be making some changes to our prices starting 1 February 2025. There will be an increase of 20% to all grooms that use a guard comb over the blade due to the additional time necessary for brushing and grooming (if you are unsure if a guard comb is used for your pet’s groom, please feel free to ask). We will also be transitioning to a new credit card processing company in the near future. So please be patient as we work through any quirks that come up – in doing this, this will eliminate the need for us to add a 3% credit card processing fee for each credit card transaction fee. Otherwise, all other prices will remain the same.
As a reminder: We do everything in our power to stay on schedule, however most days this is not the case. Our days are never the same but keeping your pet safe, happy and ensuring that each pet receives a top-quality groom is our number one priority. Please keep in mind that during the day there are times where either one of us or all of us have to stop what we are doing to clean up an accident, take a pet outside to go potty, help soothe an anxious or scared pup. We do our best to catch-up, but there are times when a 2–4-hour groom can turn into a 4–6-hour groom. Please know that I will send you a message when your pup is approximately 20-30 minutes away from being finished. I also ask that you limit your text messages while your dog is with us as the continuous interruptions throughout the day are adding not only additional time to your dog’s groom but to each dog’s groom that day. Please respect this request or we may have to look at adding an additional communication fee to your groom. If you need your dog done by a certain/reasonable time, please let us know when you drop them off and we will do our best to have your pup(s) finished by that time. I always want your pet to have a positive experience while they are here and rushing through their groom can make it a far less positive experience. I never want to rush through a groom and will always choose quality over quantity.
Thank you for the support and understanding. We greatly appreciate every single one of you.
We hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year!
Sincerely,
Melissa, Briana, Rachel, Jordan, Lindsay, Noah and Jet
