We are opening a new location and are looking to expand our team with an amazing Customer Service Representative that is eager and willing to offer the highest quality customer service to every client, every time! Our Customer Service Representatives provide the first and last impression of the hospital to our clients. Whether over the phone, or in person, it is vital to provide a customer service experience that is second to none. We are seeking someone who values the importance of this role and who loves coming to work every day, ready to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients and the animals they love!
Successful candidates will work well in a team environment and enjoy and value developing relationships with our clients and their pets. If you are punctual, dependable, personable, and have excellent attention to detail, then we are looking for you! Prior experience in the veterinary field is preferred, but we will consider individuals with customer service experience in other fields.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Working with clients and pets in a professional, warm, friendly, compassionate manner in every situation, every time
-Ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day
-Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow through
-Using a multi-line phone system to process calls
-Calmly triaging situations presented by clients to determine proper course of action
-Scheduling and confirming appointments along with advising the client of any specific instructions needed for their appointment
-Checking clients in and out in various programs in a timely manner
-Returning all voicemail and email messages in a timely and professional manner using proper etiquette
-Ensuring that clients fill-out and sign all appropriate documentation and that such documentation is scanned and attached to the patient's record
-Handling euthanasia cases with care and compassion and providing clients with information regarding options available for the remains of deceased pets
-Accurately recording communications for doctors and other staff.
-Preparing and presenting estimates
-Processing financial transactions
-Advising clients of recommended services for their pets in accordance with hospital policies
-Coordinating with other staff in a professional, positive, friendly manner always
-Ensuring the hospital reception area is clean, orderly, fresh smelling, and pleasant
Minimum Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Customer service experience: 2+ years
-Working knowledge of computers
-Working knowledge of a multi-line phone system
-Strong organizational skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
-Outstanding client service skills
-Reliable with excellent attendance
-Available to work any shift assigned Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00a.m. to 6:30p.m. or modifications thereof to meet business needs
-Prepared to cover shifts on short notice when needed
Ideal Candidates will also have:
Previous experience as a receptionist or customer service representative in the field of veterinary medicine.
Salary and Compensation: Depends on level of experience and FT/PT status
Start Date: Approximately May 17th
Receptionists will be working at both our Meridian and Kuna locations.
