Dominifarm Dominifarm is an Assisted Loving Community for retired, unwanted & disabled farm animals. πŸ–πŸ‘πŸ„πŸ¦ƒπŸ‡ -Dominifarm Animal Sanctuary, Inc.

is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization EIN # 86-3996669
incorporated in the State of Idaho. Located in Kuna, ID, the sanctuary provides a permanent loving home for all types of rescued backyard farm animals. We make sure that they live out their entire lives in peace at the sanctuary, where they are treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, care and

protection for the animals in our custody. Also, through farm tours and via social media, we give the animals a voice to tell the public their stories. Dominifarm’s rescued animals function as ambassadors so visitors and/or viewers can watch their daily lives, get to know each animal, and gain an appreciation for their species. DOMINIFARM:

-Welcomes public, private, group, organization, school, and corporate visitors, by appointment only. Private tours are by donation, suggested at $25/hour for up to four people.
-Provides people with special needs the opportunity to interact with socialized animals as a form of therapy and rehabilitation. WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT US:

Kudos to the students of Sage International School and their teacher, Ann Tan, for organizing a highly successful fundraiser that made a real difference in the lives of our animals. Their flower sale generated an impressive $235, and the students took great pride in counting the proceeds and donating their entire profit to our cause. Thank you πŸ’—πŸ’πŸΎ

Keeping Finn isolated and out of the elements has helped him a lot in dealing with his laminitis condition, but he has been much happier since Daisy the sheep moved in with him.

While browsing, I stumbled upon these heartwarming pictures of me and the animals from Spring 2022. Although my cherished Attaboy may be gone, his loving memory continues to inspire me; I miss him dearly. Animals are the ultimate blessings of my life, and I am eternally thankful for their presence. Their impact is profound and transformative; they teach me to live in the moment and treasure every second. I devote my life to rescuing them, and in return, they shower me with love, endless laughter, and unshakeable loyalty. To me, home is not just a physical space; it is wherever they are, filling my life with warmth, joy, and a deep sense of belonging.

Yesterday, Kathy and David came to visit the two goats they had rescued from a horrific hoarding and neglect situation in 2024. They had saved seven goats in total and asked if we could adopt two of them. We agreed to take a bonded pair, including Ramboy and her mom Peggy, who is a special needs goat. Kathy and David had become very attached to the goats, and it was hard for them to let them go, but they couldn’t keep all the animals and needed a permanent safe place for them. Since November, they have kept in touch and come to visit their friends regularly. To help support our mission, they kindly donated 10 bags of grains and pellets for the birds, pigs, and goats - which is a wonderful gift for us. They also gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers to thank me, and this delicate attention went straight to my heart. Thank you, Kathy and David, for your great empathy, compassion, and generosity.

Tiny Eiffel is taking a long, well-deserved nap after volunteering with me for two hours in the cold. Chore time is such an enriching experience for her, filled with playtime, animal connections, and a sense of belonging. I cannot believe how well she transitioned from a posh city dog to a country dog. Through patience, persistence, and positive reinforcement, she and her brother Gustave have blossomed into the happiest, most well-adjusted bougie farm dogs in Idaho. https://www.dominifarmsanctuary.org/

Animals may face challenges during harsh winter months, but for most of our bunnies, the cold weather feels better than extreme heat. With the right setting, access to nutritious food, water, fresh hay, and a warm bed of straw, they not only survive but also thrive.

Frankie and Hogany are enjoying a beautiful winter day, basking in the sun. Our precious elderly sows are still thriving despite their arthritis and diminishing eyesight and hearing. It's heartwarming to see our beloved girls grow old together, sharing their cozy little house. They can keep each other warm during these harsh winter nights and receive the specialized geriatric care they deserve. Old age should never be a death sentence; it can be a beautiful chapter for healthy animals.

I was deeply concerned about Anatoly's 🐽 well-being yesterday, as he was feverish and refused to consume any food or beverages. He just wanted to remain in his cozy burrow, wrapped in warm blankets. I immediately contacted Dr. Breuer at Driftless Veterinary Services, who advised administering ibuprofen until he could examine Anatoly today. Following a restless night, I was relieved to see Anatoly's improvement this morning, as he had resumed normal behavior.
The veterinarian prescribed rest and ibuprofen as needed. Additionally, he examined Finn, our mini horse, who is struggling with acute laminitis, a painful condition similar to human diabetes and gout. Although there is no cure, soaking hay to eliminate sugar and providing vitamin supplements helps manage the disease. We utilize Remission and Biotin for dietary supplements, while ensuring Finn's comfort in a warm environment. Although our primary objective is to maintain their happiness, I empathize with their pain, which becomes mine as well. I guess it's part of loving them so much.πŸ’—πŸ΄πŸ–

We πŸ’— and value you for who you are, Maesa!
Like humans, animals possess a sense of confidence that can be impacted by their life circumstances. When they are unwanted, neglected, or abandoned, their sense of self-worth and value suffer deeply. At Dominifarm, we recognize their inherent worth because we believe they deserve love, respect, and dignity exactly as they are.

We would like to introduce Daisy, our newest addition. Daisy is a mature Babydoll ewe who was previously part of a small sheep herd. Following the passing of her two long-time friends, she was left alone. As sheep are highly social animals, her owners wanted the best possible life for their cherished pet and contacted Dominifarm. Although we maintain a lengthy waiting list for animals, Old Daisy met all the required adoption criteria. The timing of her arrival was perfect, as we could quarantine her alongside Fin, our poor miniature horse, who is experiencing an acute laminitis flare-up and requires confinement for better care. To keep him warm and comfortable, we insulated one of the shelters by wrapping a heavy tarp around it and installed feeding and watering facilities at his height. Given their similar size, they will make excellent roommates for each other.
Your continued support made it happen. Thank you! πŸŽπŸ‘πŸ’—

Peggy came to the sanctuary with her baby Ramboy a few months ago. Ramboy had just been neutered, and both goats needed to be quarantined for 30 days before they could be introduced to the herd. The pair were rescued by the neighbors from a bad hoarding and neglect situation. At one point in her life, Peggy's leg was broken, but her injury was not attended to, so she'll be limping for the rest of her life. As soon as they met the rest of the herd, Ramboy was accepted and thrived being with other goats. Because of her handicap, it is much harder for Peggy, who is now bullied and at the bottom of the social order. She’s a very nurturing and affectionate mother, and we’re making sure she gets enough food and a covered place to sleep at night. Within a few weeks, she will find her place and be an integral part of the goat family. β™₯️🐐
