is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization EIN # 86-3996669
incorporated in the State of Idaho. Located in Kuna, ID, the sanctuary provides a permanent loving home for all types of rescued backyard farm animals. We make sure that they live out their entire lives in peace at the sanctuary, where they are treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, care and

protection for the animals in our custody. Also, through farm tours and via social media, we give the animals a voice to tell the public their stories. Dominifarmโ€™s rescued animals function as ambassadors so visitors and/or viewers can watch their daily lives, get to know each animal, and gain an appreciation for their species. DOMINIFARM:

-Welcomes public, private, group, organization, school, and corporate visitors, by appointment only. Private tours are by donation, suggested at $25/hour for up to four people.
-Provides people with special needs the opportunity to interact with socialized animals as a form of therapy and rehabilitation. WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT US:

Finding hay in the winter can be stressful, but thanks to your recommendations, we were able to find local alfalfa for the cows and grass hay for the horses. Added to our current stack, those 440 extra bales will allow us to feed our cows, horses, sheep, goats, alpacas, and rabbits until the next crop in May. The suppliers did a great job delivering and hand-stacking the bales. One of the ranchers is even storing some of the hay in his barn for us. The total cost was $5,400, which is a huge dent in our budget, but a fair price for the season. Thank you to our amazing community for always being there for us. โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฆ™ https://dominifarmsanctuary.com/

What would we do without the invaluable support of our neighbor Bryon Randall, owner of WE ROCK YOU business in Kuna?
Bryon has consistently delivered road mix and gravel to the sanctuary over the years, while also providing behind-the-scenes assistance with tractor work, animal transportation and material delivery from local stores. This week, he has demonstrated exceptional skill in framing and installing four Dominifarm signs around the property and is ready to construct custom insulated pig doors for our pigs. We feel fortunate to have compassionate neighbors like Bryon and his wife Tracy, who make a profoundly positive impact on those around them.

Hogany is our shyest pig. She was a recluse for years as she dealt with the trauma of abandonment and being shuttled to different temporary homes. However, thanks to our dedicated volunteers and the stable environment we provide for her at Dominifarm, Hogany has become noticeably more outgoing, even as old age and arthritis have set in. Our old girl still likes to keep to herself or pal around with Frankie, and we are happy to give her the space she needs to feel comfortable. Still, we are delighted to see that she is more accepting of the pets and belly rubs we want to give her. ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ’“ You can read her story and many more in our newsletter https://preview.mailerlite.io/preview/562499/emails/175974356734707205

We're thrilled that one of our volunteers has adopted Duckduck, who's now a happy member of their family, living indoors for now, and will move to her new outdoor duck house and custom pen in the spring.โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ†

As soon as they leave their pen, our geese run to their pool for a splash of water. Waterfowl love ponds, but can live without one. However, maintaining access to water despite freezing temperatures is essential, as it facilitates hydration, aids digestion, and clears the sinuses and eyes of waterfowl to preserve their health. Our geese and ducks donโ€™t really like rain, but puddles are a different game, and a rather enjoyable one at that. They use them to play, splash water about, and clean themselves. Sometimes they perform the duck happy dance, rapidly stomping their webbed feet to try to get worms to rise. Even knowing the practical aspects of this behavior, itโ€™s super cute to watch. Geese and ducks have fun personalities and can be very affectionate, which makes them very endearing to me. โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿฆขhttps://dominifarmsanctuary.com/

One of our old lady pigs, Frankie, had been limping on and off for years due to her arthritis. It became so bad that she gradually stopped moving. We started her on stronger pain medications, but after she didnโ€™t respond to treatment, we put her in hospice, keeping her as comfortable as we could. I was devastated because Frankie is one of our first residents and had a special place in my heart. As a professional esthetician, I was familiar with LED light therapy and had used it on myself to help with a sore arm. I discussed it with Caren, one of our volunteers, who immediately bought one. It made a huge difference for Frankie, who has now almost completely recovered. Light therapy, weight loss, medication, and joint supplements not only saved her, but they also helped her with mobility and energy level. This formerly skittish lady now approaches us, wondering if we have treats and to be petted when itโ€™s time for her medications. Thank you, Caren, for making such a difference in Frankieโ€™s life. ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿท
