Kelly Duncan has been a dedicated volunteer at La Crescent Animal Rescue since 2015. Her journey with LAR began after she lost her soulmate cat, when a friend’s mother encouraged her to get involved. What started as a way to heal grew into a vital role within the rescue.

Over the years, Kelly’s contributions have expanded. She’s now a member of the adoption committee, helps with cleaning, and works closely with some of the most challenging cats—socializing them until they’re ready to find their forever homes.

For Kelly, the most rewarding part of volunteering is seeing cats find good homes. Her compassion and dedication make all the difference for the animals in our care.

Thank you, Kelly, for your incredible heart and hard work over the past nine years. The cats (and all of us!) are so lucky to have you. 🐾❤️

Judd is one of our long-haulers here at LAR. He's been dreaming about his forever family for over a year now, but he has hope that the perfect person will come take him home.

This platinum boy had a rough start to life as a feral cat, and even lost his ability to hear, but has really come out of his shell here in our rescue. He even has a new best friend in Quartz, another long-hauler.
