Found black cat! 🐈‍⬛

Is someone missing this black kitten?
It was roaming this morning around the 300 block of North Elm Street.

Zoe is a 4 year old spayed and house trained Australian Cattle Dog. She loves the outdoors and other dogs. She is very good at walking on a leash and does not pull. She does well with children, as if they were her own. She is also vaccinated. While Zoe loves being outside, she is definitely a house girl.

Are you the angel we've been waiting for?
We are looking for a foster home for our sweet Jazzy. Jazzy has both FeLV and FIP. She is currently being treated for the FIP and it runs for 84 days and the pills need to be given at the same time every day. Her foster home would not be able to have any other cats due to the contagiousness. This takes an extremely large toll on the rescue and our volunteers.
La Crescent Animal Rescue would of course, be providing all the necessary supplies and medicine. We don't know if the treatment will work, but it is her best chance even though she is FeLV positive. If you would be willing to take on this role for us and Jazzy, please contact us as soon as possible.

Meet Dick McElmury, one of our dedicated volunteers at LAR for the past few years! After his last cat passed away, Dick found himself missing feline companionship and wanted to give back in honor of the pets who had brought him joy over the years. He started with morning cat care and cleaning and now picks up shifts wherever he can.

For his spotlight, Dick chose to pose with Judd, who has been at LAR since 2023. While Judd may seem shy or reserved upon first meeting, Dick wanted to highlight just how loving he can be for those patient enough to earn his trust.

His favorite part of volunteering? Simply spending time with the animals. And we know they love spending time with him, too!
