Nyx's adoption was cancelled due to an unfortunate, unforeseen situation so she is back to "Available". She is sweet, adventurous, gentle, and cute as a button! Nyx is approximately five months old and more than ready for her furever. We hope you’ll come by and visit Nyx soon, she’s sure to win you over! This beautiful girl is looking for a new home to start her next adventure. Meet Libby a 4 year old Idaho S**g mix. What is an Idaho S**g mix you ask? It's an Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, and Airedale Terrier by design. The term coined “Idaho s**g dog” is coveted by regional cowboys, as the combination of the three breeds and makes for a gritty dog with a ton of stamina that works cattle like none other. Libby is a goof ball and up for any adventure. She makes the people around her laugh every day. She has lived an adventurous life camping, fishing and has spent many weekends hiking. Although she didnt end up a working dog, she still needs a job to do which has always been watching over free range birds, a large garden, and a country property. Her ideal home would be active, have kiddos, and have a large yard or property to roam. She has lived in the country and had a doggie door all of her life. She enjoys being able to go in and out, but prefers laying outside most of the time. She has been around kids of all ages (I've had a new born and she loves the baby). She checks in with gentle kisses and never jumps up on kids. She is okay with other dogs, but prefers distance and time to get to know the other pet. She does chase cats if they run. She would make a great pet for a country family who wants to have free range birds and a yard protected. Libby is up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She has no health concerns. This gorgeous blue-eyed man is looking for a new home. Meet Chaos, a 2 year old Siberian Husky. He is a good boy that gets along well with cats, dogs and children. Chaos shares a home with another dog and the two do not get along well and need to be separated at all times which is not an ideal scenario for anyone in the home. He is crate trained and has no accidents in the house. He does not chew on things he is not supposed too (he has a large pile of dog toys that keep him busy). Pixel is an absolute darling who loves to run, play, and explore. However, whenever you scoop her up, she snuggles right in for pets and purrs. She is incredibly good-natured, cute, sweet, and fun! Pixel is a tabico (tabby with calico markings). She is only about 3 months old, fully vetted and ready for a home! We do give preference to applications for pairs, unless there is already a kitten in the home, in order to give them the best chance.

SHADE (m)

Shade is an awesome kitten! Shade loves to play and explore, but the second you sit down he’s snuggled up in your lap. Shade is very handsome, kind, and interacts really well with the other kittens at the shelter. He is approximately four months old and sibling to Nyx and Zephyr. Whoever gets the opportunity to adopt our wonderful Shade will be very lucky indeed! We will be giving preference to applications for pairs of kittens, as they do best together.

FURBALL (m)

There's nothing like the squishiness of a floofy void and Furball is here to prove it. He is a friendly seven year old, longhair lovebug that coexists well with other cats. Furball was temporarily adopted where he was with two other cats, but he just really doesn't want to adjust to dogs. A home without dogs, but pretty much anything else, would make Furball super happy! He's fully vaccinated, neutered and no litter box issues. Plus he's easy on the eyes - a win-win! One look at this handsome boy and your heart will skip a beat. Everyone we would like you to meet our newest member of the LAR family, Skipper!
Skipper is a 2-year-old spaniel/setter mix and is a bundle of fun energy! He will need an active family or person who would love to give him the exercise and stimulation he will need. Skipper has a sweet and loving personality. His favorite thing to do is be with his people...and belly rubs. We can't think of a better partner to get out and enjoy this beautiful area with! Due to Skippers energy level, if there are children in the home they should be of an older age. He has been an only dog in his past home so a proper meet and greet would be required if there is another dog in the home. He has not been around cats so a proper meet and greet would be required for cats as well. He is a perfect medium size dog, weighing 36 lbs. Skipper is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. His adoption fee is $200. We are asking anyone interested to first fill out an application which can be found online www.lacrescentanimalrescue.com/dogs.

As each person travels through their grief, we remember the companionship and comfort they provided to us. Don't forget that part of the relationship included care provided by you. The empty space left by the loss of a beloved pet is sometimes a difficult void to overcome.

Rio is a stunning flame point ragdoll with cream fur that turns to a light orange around his face, boots, and tail. Rio is so sweet and easy going, a true testament to the ragdoll demeanor! Luckily at such a young age of approximately 3 months, they have and continue to make great progress in trusting humans and becoming future snugglers. Lanai is the bravest of his pack, but will likely do best in a quieter home where he can have time and space to get to know his new surroundings and family. We hope you’ll come and meet Lanai soon, he’s sure to make you as happy as a beach vacation!
Preference will be given to adoption applications for two kittens, unless there is already another young one in the home. Adopting kittens this age greatly increase their success and are easier to care for than a single.

These 3 young cats are looking for their forever homes. 🏠
They are not at the shelter. Owner has them in her care and would love to keep them but they already have 2 cats and 3 dogs. They were approximately 3 weeks old when they were found in their boat and decided to foster. She syringe fed them kitten formula for a few weeks until they were eating on their own. Flash, Farah, and Fiona are now ready! They are 4-5 months old, friendly, playful and litter box trained. If interested, please PM us and we will get you in contact with their foster home.
