Celebrate with us!

Thursday is Grace's last day at TAMC. She has been working as a Veterinary Assistant since May 2021; all while she has been in an undergrad program at UW-L.

She is leaving us to attend vet school at UW-Madison 🦡🐾.
We wish her so much luck. She will be missed.

Celebrate with us!

Wednesday is Makenna's last day. She has been working at TAMC as a Veterinary Assistant since July of 2021.

Now, she is leaving us to attend vet school in 🐾 South Dakota this fall.

Good Luck, Makenna!!! We will miss you and we appreciate all your hard work!

Thompson Animal Medical Center hopes you have a JOYFUL Christmas.

The clinic will close for the holiday at noon on Saturday. We will reopen on Monday morning at our regular time.

As always, if your pet is in need of emergency after-hours care, there is an area doctor available to you. Please call the clinic at our regular phone number (608-788-8820), so your call can be routed to the on-call doctor/clinic.

Central Animal Hospital is the on-call clinic over the holiday weekend.

Rabbit hemorrhagic disease detected in Wisconsin

Wisconsin’s first case of rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD) has been confirmed in three domestic rabbits in La Crosse County. Because this disease is highly contagious, DATCP is reminding rabbit owners and event organizers to use enhanced biosecurity measures to help keep their animals safe and healthy. Rabbit owners are strongly encouraged to speak with their veterinarians about vaccination.

We are sad to say Dr. Stephanie Kurth is leaving us. She is relocating to the Madison area later this month to pursue a career in Public Health as a veterinarian.

Dr. Stephanie has been an invaluable member of our team, and we will all miss both her and her lovely dog, Sadie. As many clients have noted, Sadie has been a bit of a fixture at out reception desk on many Tuesdays and Thursdays.

As always, we will continue to do our best to accommodate clients with sick patients who need to be seen, but because we have not yet found a replacement for Dr. Stephanie, we are advising clients to make their wellness appointments 4 weeks in advance of their due date.

Do you remember Andy?

He worked here as an assistant on his way to vet school. This spring, he had his blue coat ceremony - marking his final year of school before becoming a Veterinarian. He graduates in 2023.

Recently we received this letter letting us know that he listed us as his mentor.
